Change you can believe in.
Barack ordered the IRS to target the T-party? NO!! Say it ain't so. Not
Barack. The stench of this presidency continues to permeate the atmosphere and
the only thing we do know for certain is nothing is going to change anytime
soon. This man is disgusting...but very predictable.
Furry1993,"....it is important that the results of the
investigation can be trusted. That means impartial investigators, and NOT a
committee from the US House of Representatives."______________________________Partisan or not, Congress has
authority to investigate the Executive branch of Government. Historically, they
have used the power ill-advisedly as often as wisely. The 104th Congress used it
in blind rage to go after a President they despised (Clinton). History now
judges it by its highly partisan nature more so than by Clinton's conduct.
TRUTH,"I think Obama and his admin are up to their eyeballs in
this one........impeachment is just a 2014 election away!"______________________________That sounds ominously like an
unwitting confession that this is more about politics than integrity in
TRUTH:Clinton got impeached. What good did that do?I'd take Obama over Biden. Hmm? Well, I don't know.
I think Obama and his admin are up to their eyeballs in this
one........impeachment is just a 2014 election away!
Is there honor among thieves?
Re: "Every administration has a political agenda."But this
administration has made high art of illegally employing patronage in the civil
service to advance its political agenda.Starting early, exploiting
disassembly of the National Service Personnel System, the Obama regime cynically
and illegally preferred its operatives in nearly all senior civil service
appointments, in nearly all federal agencies. And, continues to do
so.Used to be, at the very end of a presidential term, a few
otherwise unemployable political hacks would "burrow-in" to senior
positions within the civil service, where they could covertly continue to push
the opposition agenda and gain seasoning to prepare them for presidential
appointment upon their party's return to power. It plagued the
incoming Bush administration to the point EPA and Department of Labor remained
under Clintonista control for two Republican terms. Now, a glance at
USAJOBS reveals that, during a hiring freeze in the rest of government, the
Obama regime is advancing, full speed, with appointing Senior Executive Service
employees.Nearly all Democrats. Most with little or no
@Cougsndawgs 4:18 p.m. May 12, 2013Furry1993:To ask for such
evidence is also asking the same type of non partisan research to be conducted
on many of the liberal nonprofit organizations. Do you really want that?--------------------Absolutely. What swings one way should
swing the other too.
Furry1993:To ask for such evidence is also asking the same type of non
partisan research to be conducted on many of the liberal nonprofit
organizations. Do you really want that? The point is the IRS TARGETED these
groups and their apology and admission to such should be all the evidence you
need that they weren't investigating these groups for any reason other than
being conservative. Now if you really want to dissect every nonprofit
organization for evidence of their benefit to society so be it, but you may not
like the result for some liberal non profits. I do agree that investigations
like these need to be done by nonpartisan researchers, but good luck truly
finding any such group. In my experience in graduate studies finding a truly
objective research or investigation team is about as easy as finding a liberal
tea party member.
I'd like to see evidence that the groups being investigated are really
working for any type of social welfare, as required by statute, and not just
trying to impose their political dogma on the country. If there is any question
concerning their actions and activities, the IRS not only has the responsibility
but has the duty to investigate. If any investigation is done
concerning this, it should be conducted by investigators who are not beholden to
either side of the question. Given the numerous witch-hunts the far right is
trying to pursue against the President and anyone working for him (or has worked
for him), it is important that the results of the investigation can be trusted.
That means impartial investigators, and NOT a committee from the US House of
Two thoughts:1) Is this issue a distraction to dilute conservative efforts
to derail the Gang of Eight amnesty bill?2) Do those who believe the Tea
Party should be taxed feel the same way about OFA, League of Women Voters, Media
Matters and a thousand other front groups for the democrats. Many of these
groups are well-funded and have large, professional staffs. Is it time to take
another look at all of them?
The roof is caving in on liberals and this administration to which they so
blindly pledge their allegiance. I can hear Hillary now: "who cares that you
were targeted, you have your apology, why does it matter now?' Can't
wait to see how msnbc and all the liberal talking heads try and spin this.
"Look we all know conservatives are dishonest racists and bigots, so why
shouldn't the IRS target their non profit organizations. We don't need
to worry about Benghazi because we know Obama is an honest man and would never
lie to the American people, to even believe such a thing is "offensive".
The IRS didn't need to target liberal organizations because we all know
they conduct their affairs above reproach". Ok I need to stop, even if
it's sarcastic just saying all that made me sick. The Duece: good point,
but we all know why were hearing about this only now. Because Obama wasn't
aware of any of this stuff...it was someone else's fault..."lower level
staffers"...nothing to do with the election...that was so offensive of you
to even ask that.
Just plain old politics Acorn style by Obama who is now in denial.
First question, is it OK for the IRS to investigate whether any group is falsely
claiming tax-exempt status?Yes.Second question, is it OK
for them to select which groups to investigate using other than random
selection? That's where the problem lies. Every
administration has a political agenda. It's too much not to expect that
agenda to reflected in the actions of agencies led by political appointees. In the name of fairness, it might be wise to start with random
selection. Perhaps in the name of efficiency it would then be prudent to pursue
groups similar to those types of groups showing the greatest propensity to make
false claims. The trouble lies in doing so fairly without letting political
prejudices cloud fair and impartial judgments.
Caption should read: "IRS targeted conservative groups." But
the Deseret News has been issued its "talking points" and conveniently
Why are we just starting to realize all of these issues after the election. At
my last count we have an embassy attacked and US citizens killed, Obamacare that
now has a completely different cost than what we were led to believe and now the
IRS targeting conservative groups. I like Hilary Clinton telling us that it
doesn't matter how our embassy was attacked. Is it time that we who vote
wake up and vote this mess out of the White House?
Does anyone truly believe that this wasn't at the behest of the Democrats
smear machine? If you do believe it then you are either willfullyignorant or
simply obtuse. Either way, your right to vote should be permanently revoked.
