Assimilating culturally, not patriotically: US teaching the wrong message

    Could the reason be the radical professors who have taken over the schools, especially the ones of "higher learning"?

    So the problem is that we're emphasizing multiculturalism over patriotism? I'm no fan of the multicultural movement, but I do see a problem with indoctrinating children, natural or naturalized Americans, with love of country. That love needs to be earned, not forced down one's throat through flag-waving pledges of allegiance. Our own government is not so lovable. Our current president was wrong when he asserted, speaking for all Americans, that "we are the government." I for one do not accept responsibility for the vast catalog of government misdeeds that create anger and hate toward the U.S. They hate what our government has done to people in their own countries. So do I. How difficult is that to understand?

    Nice try at blaming us, but the real reason is still a fanatical religion.
