First of all moderation in all things doesn't protect our children. Yes, we
have to teach our children but some things shouldn't be taken even in
moderation. The FDA has done a lousy job in so many ways so truly it is up to
the people to make changes. It's like the genetically modified foods
entering into our food chain without a word from anyone. Did you know that
Cheerios that once was considered wholesome now has Genetically Modified Corn
Starch in it. I see many of us turning to growing our own foods and simply not
buying the junk that is out there.
I can see the government made it possible (somewhat) to all public schools but
at home or anywhere? Good luck FDA!
Newsflash, drinking too much water can also kill you! Did you know that? Yes
indeed. And digesting too much caffeine can also kill you! Forget the nanny
state nonsense, just teach moderation in all things, and if you are worried
about Jr. or Sally using too much caffeine, as a parent make sure you... oh, how
about pay attention to them a little bit more? Government is not our minder.
Personal responsibility and accountability. Teach it, live it. Tell your kids
they should probably stay away from the "buzz gum" and use caffeine
sparingly. Its too bad this state does such a terrible job at educating kids
about the effect of drugs. Just saying "just say no" is about as
worthless as the breath that uttered it. How about teaching kids the chemical
reaction that occurs in the body? Its like sex education, see no, hear no, do
no... good luck!
