Region 9 still has 4 out of 4 remaining in the tournament. Region 10 has 3 out of 4 remaining and Ogden is the last representative of the 5 playing the tournament from Region 11. So far it looks like the strength for the 20013 Spring Season in 3A boys are in Regions 9 and 10. Good luck to all at the games on Saturday.

Admittedly, I know little about soccer. But, I have watched Wasatch a few times this year, and they make the game look really easy. I watched the second half today, and they looked like they were playing a level (or two) higher than their opponent. If every team scored like that, I would find soccer a little more interesting, as it is, I'll stick with hockey, at least there in a low scoring battle you get some fights, and no one flops when bumped into. Regardless, good luck Wasps, I hope you win it all!

I'm feeling a PC vs. Ogden final.

I have Cedar winning their first game against Spanish Fork and I like their chances in the next two games (including against Desert Hills in the semi-finals). But the games are played on the field so who really knows. As for the other bracket I have Pine View playing either Dixie or Wasatch in the semifinals. We shall see...

I think 3A leader Wasatch wins in first round game along with Ogden and Desert Hills. Whoever is Region 10 2 seed will also win at home. Dixie should also advance from a rugged Region 9 setting up an excellent match with the home standing Wasps ( a reprise of last year's semi final game). While Ogden has put up impressive numbers offensively, it has largely been due to suspect competition. Their defense looks strong, but they got hammered last year by J.D. in the semis so not sure what to make of them in 2013.

Right now I'm thinking Wasatch vs Ogden in 1 semi final with Des Hills winning out on the topside. Wasatch winning state championship at Rio Tinto.
