    The Wall Street Journal had an article recently where it reported that the trend now is to feature "sponsored editorial content" -- that is, companies pay to have articles written by their employees or press agents published in the media so that it looks like news. This allows companies greater control over what is published about them in traditional news outlets. The perception is that a "paid article" will have more credibility than a "paid ad."

    Sad trend... I guess readers will now have more choices: "liberal media," "Fox News," and "corporate sponsored editorial content."
