I hadn't even heard about this incident until BO apologized. The MSM has been protecting him again.

@worf - well, somebody's going crazy over this, or Obama wouldn't feel the need to apologize. I certainly hope it's not the conservative press, as ridiculously petty PC as this matter is.

Sure, it won't get the same amount of press as the manufactured outrage over the "binders full of women" comment, and therein lies the utter hypocrisy of most media, but it's good to see the left is not totally immune from jabbing its own in fits of insane politically correct scrutiny.

Maybe the reason Michelle said she is a single mom was a backlash about her husband's inappropriate compliment about another woman's physical attractiveness? Even Barrack should know that as a married man you don't publically compliment other women on their good looks! Perhaps Slick Willy can give Barrack some advice on that: lie about it! That way, its none of our business!

What has this world come to that we have to so politically correct and deny the obvious human desires and part of millions of years of evolutionary humanity. We are bombarded everyday by hundreds if not thousands of corporate advertisements, movies, television shows that profit by using our inbred and cultural propensity of physical looks. To be honest and say what we feel is what we supposedly require from our politicians. They only reflect our selves. What do defendants do usually do when they are in court? When have you ever seen a bad looking physician or plaintiff lawyer, judge in court? Teachers, police officers, business managers, bank clerks, waiters and waitresses?

This politically correct crap has gone too far when we can't have our President of the United States compliment a person on his or her looks...it's a role model for what we expect of almost everyone else. We need to start looking in the mirror folks.

    What hypocrites!

Had Mitt, or any other conservative said this, liberals would be going crazy.

Earlier in day, Michelle referred to herself as a single mom.

Please tell us that Pres. Obama pinched or slapped her posterior on the way to the podium, so the story will actually have a sliver of meaning.

Have we hit PC rock-bottom yet, when people are offended by being called attractive? Sadly, probably not yet. At what point are we collectively so embarrassed by the inane reasons for offense that even a typical offense-mongering journalist starts refusing to report such silliness?

Can we not assume the AG wore attractive clothing, styled her hair attractively, wore attractive makeup, and affects an attractive demeanor and personality so that she can appear ATTRACTIVE to the world? So, Pres. Obama acknowledges the success of her efforts, and he's a chauvinist?

Our culture is clearly an un-navigable minefield for even the brightest of us. Also for Pres. Obama.

I would so love to take a shot at President Obama about his "taste", but I won't.
