Problem is,--we don't get accurate information from the press on what is really going on.

To be really well informed, we most broaden our view, and thinking.

How many times has Obama been untruethful? Why send F-16 fighter jets, and two hundred new tanks to Israel's enemy the "Muslim Brotherhood"?

Can't trust the words coming out of Obama's mouth.

That could be the most "tongue in cheek" comment I've ever seen posted here.

    Re: HappyHeathen

If Israel is one of the most "repressive" regimes in the world it is only because they are surrounded by enemies who are the MOST repressive regimes in the world.

    Happy heathen
Lets see how peaceful you are when people are shooting rockets at you daily. Would you stand for Mexico or Canada shooting rockets into the US daily? come on.

We get it, sir. REAL men send men to invade other places, right? Then they sit back and fill their speeches with words like "libuurty".

I would have liked to hear Obama telling one of the most repressive regimes in the world (Israel) that their $billions are cut off unless we see more efforts towards peace and less bulldozer action.

I hope this comment is based on sarcasm. Barack Obama has zero credibility with the American people - the man's words are nothing more than demagoguery at its worst.

    @Lost in DC

"judging by all the typos and misspelling, you must of been pretty upset!"

Oh, the irony. There is no phrase in English reading "must of been"...it is "must HAVE been".

But don't let that stop your good old fashioned anti-Obama rant.

judging by all the typos and misspelling, you must of been pretty upset!

you really think Syria, and not a nuclear Iran, is Israel's main threat?

you really think BO has been forceful in his foreign policy, with all his scraping, bowing, and apologizing?

    oh my

people make judgements based on what they see others DO, not as much on what they hear others SAY. So when they doubt BO would do anything in response to a nuclear attack on Israel from Iran, they have a strong basis for that belief

you ask if BO has backed away from one fight and you answer NO. I guess you are unaware that N. Korea and Iran are both developing nukes with impunity. but I guess to you that means BO has not backed away from those fights.

Just for once, take the tin foil politica (sic) hat off and look at reality.

Just plain annoying.... these connents are just politcal noice.

Why don't they mention also that it was a republican (John McCain) who went to Egypt to make sure the Egyptuan military now under the control of the Islamic Brotherhood get another round of new planes and tanks from the US. It was actually the administration that was balking at it... it was a Republican that flew to Egyt to make sure it happened.

Why isn't it mentioned that Isreal's main threat, Syria, is truned in on itself, and that the US played a large part in disupting a regiem that was one of the chief promotors of global terrorism. Same goes for Lybia and Tunisia. France went on to snuff out the same elements in Mali.

These things you pretend to "know" are just more political drivel... you "know" the US would not respond to a nuke attack by Iran.... based on what? Has this government in the last 4.5 yeasr backed away from one fight... No. So what is your "knowledge" based on?

Just for once, take the tin foil politica hat off and look for the positive.

Obama is doing the only thing that should be done ... listening. That's precisely what the Israelis and Palestinians will not do for each other.

If I am Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu I am not feeling terribly comforted with Barack's pledge of support based on the events of the past 4 years. Israel is going to have act on Iran on its own because Barack will never do anything other than make speeches. Iran could launch a nuke at Israel and I doubt Barack would do anything and I think Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knows that. We are giving America/Israel hating Egypt free F-16's and tanks no questions asked and the Muslim Brotherhood is laughing all the way to the bank. OBama is a paper tiger and all the countries in the middle east know it. They have zero respect for the man and they certainly don't fear him.

He also promised to not rest, until every American that wanted a job had one. He also promised to close Guantanemo. He also promised to not raise taxes one dime on those of us making less than $250,000. He also promised to the president of everyone and be bi-partisan. He also promised that obamacare would reduce costs. He also promised to quit smoking.

He is also giving money to the Muslim Brotherhood that has sworn an oath to wipe Israel off of the map. If my friend promised to protect me at all cost, and at the same time was arming my enemy. Is that person really a friend?

I bet that the Israelis are smart enough to realize that nothing, absolutely nothing, that Obama says can be counted on as being truthful, or that actions promised will actually take place.

Worse, his understanding of the geopolitical situation in the middle east is questionable, and his dedication to the interest of any party (even the United States itself) is very uncertain. The only commitment he really has is to his own power and image.

Too bad, because Israel really needs a strong, reliable ally they can count on. And, they are the ONLY real ally we have in the region, so they deserve much better than they are getting from the current administration.
