Just recommendations, nothing more, they will change a dozen times in the next few months.

The Republicans presented the first amnesty, and the minorities never gave them a majority since then. If we give amnesty, Republicans will never win a major election in most states again. And the presidency will be a one man race.

Seems to me the pro-illegal folks are shooting themselves in the foot. What Republican wants to give the Democrats millions of new voters?

It is very clear that Patriot should leave and take the few that deserve to be called Americans and start a new America somewhere, where they can regulate your work ethic, faith, and morality. Wonder what they would call that political faction: Freedom?

    Chris B,

So I take it you are advocating that all those folks who are hiring people who are here illegally should be thrown in jail? I for one must say that I wholeheartedly agree with you and your position. Laws must stand for something and we should enforce the laws that are on the books.

If pat "gave up on America", then why is he writing from Utah, one of the 50 states, as I recall? He also has me confused with the conservative/Christian conundrum. Does being one mean you HAVE to be both? Or could you be a conservative Hindu or Muslim as well? His calling our president a Marxist seems brave (though not too original) - as long as "patriot" is his real name. At least we know he's familiar with American movie titles.

In a report released Monday, the RNC says that the way the party communicates its principles isn't resonating widely enough and that focus groups perceive the party as "narrow minded," ''out of touch" and "stuffy old men."

    Let's see...

The Archie Bunker-ing of the GOP failed miserably.

    Geez, who'd a thunk?...

If the GOP embraces same-gender marriage and amnesty they will lose my vote.
Candidates have distanced themselves from the platform long enough. Karl Rove does not define MY party.

Patriot may be on to something. Reading between the GOP lines it sounds like we may see a Rubio/Mia Love ticket in 2016. Desperate people do desperate acts.

It was only a few years ago that the GOP and George Bush were the party buying people's votes (prescription drug benefit for seniors helped them carry Florida and 4 more years of disaster for us). Now it appears the GOP is trying to sell minorities that there the party for them through a slick marketing campaign and a few thirsty, spanish speaking politicans. Are we a great country or what. Where's Ross Perot when you need him?

I call for people to be punished, not rewarded for breaking the laws of this great country.

Why does one individual get to decide if he/she is more deserving of US citizenship than another individual? They shouldnt.

We have laws to ensure a fair process. Perhaps the process could be fixed to be more straightforward if we didnt have the problem of so many illegal criminals entering our country in the first place.

I have no sympathy for criminals who break the laws of this country.

GOP abandons principles and copy-cats dems. Road to success or road to irrelevance? The GOP can do whatever they want - if they choose to become Democrats-lite then go for it. Conservatives however DON'T abandon principles just because the people of the US are disintegrating into a value-less and moral-less people whose lazy live off government free-bee attitude seems to be the rule now rather than the exception. Conservatives don't abandon Christianity and adopt atheism just because America becomes one nation "without" God. There comes a point where imitation is suicide and you must stand or die based on your principles. Correct principles of hard work, faith in God, morality, self reliance etc.. never ever change and neither do the "principled people" who live by these values. I pretty much gave up on America on Nov 6 of 2012 after they elected a radical progressive Marxist for a second term. That was it for me. America as a majority may have lost its way but that doesn't mean the remaining few decent people in this country - who deserve to be called Americans - have to lose their way too. Live free or die hard!!
