    "....On an October Saturday, when Nixon ordered Richardson to fire Archibald Cox, the Watergate special prosecutor, Richardson and his deputy resigned, urging Bork to execute Nixon's lawful order, which he did....."

    If Richardson and Ruskleshaus urged Bork to carry out Nixon's order to fire Cox, that's news to me. I've always assumed that Bork just didn't have the moral courage to take the same stand that the Attorney General and his Deputy AG had taken.
