The Jazz Ownership and coaching need to show some heart and make a move before the trade deadline. Burks, Favors and Kanter all deserve more minutes. This teams future (at best) looks exactly the same as last year: Barely make the playoffs and get swept or lose 3-1 in the first round. If you keep putting the same ingredients in your going to get the same results out. Start Burks at Point and ship either Paul or Al for a true point guard.

As for the Utes. I think they are an improved team over last year. They are just 1 or 2 players short of being a strong Pac team. I agree with most the posters on this board, its not a lack of heart, its a lack of talent.

The Jazz have settled for mediocrity. Sad. As for Utah b-ball I think all the close games took a toll. Let's hope they don't give up. I think coach K is a capable coach. I don't fault his coaching.

If the Jazz had lost to the heat that would be one thing, but the rockets have the same record as the jazz. So that means they are not that much better talent wise. So i have to agree with you no heart. So like i said the other day they are in no mans land. Either win big 5th seed or better or lose and get better with the young guys. I personally would rather not make the playoffs with a 8 seed. If it means the young guns get 10 to 15 minutes a night.

The problem with saying the Jazz need new ownership is that would very, very likely mean the team would end up moving out of state. It's already been shown in the past that there is no one in Utah that can pony up the money to keep the team here, except the Millers. It might be the Millers are just not as invested in making this team great after Larry died because he was the heart and soul of the team. I don't think Greg Miller has the same passion but I sure don't want to see the Millers sell the team to some out of state buyer. Larry would turn over in his grave if that happened.

I really don't think that the utah basketball team lacks heart, they lack talent, and they lack an actual fanbase, but I don't think they lack heart. I think they want to win, they just aren't good enough to win.

umm...Shakespeare, the Miller Corp operates the Jazz at a loss. No profit there.

    Rock you are way off.
If you think the Utes problem is heart you know nothing about basketball. The Utes simply need more skil and talent. With that said Coack K vastly improved the skill and talent from last year, hopefully they make another jump next year as well.

Every Jazz fan should be refunded for Monday's game. I paid for $60 tickets to see the worst home loss in Jazz HISTORY! What a rip off! Greg Miller is a disgrace.

Coach Kristy is just saying the right things now. Ute fans have abandoned him, lost interest in the season. There will be flashes of heart but mostly submission.

I have no idea what the Jazz in thinking. They're pros, go earn your money!

took my wife to the game. Her first.....she said after the 1st half as we left after the best part of the game, half time (the 70 year old showing his pulgulist skills), "Next time, could you take me to a real game?".

Trade Big Al and spend the money on another Hayward type. The Jazz are fine without No D Al.

The Jazz game against Houston illustrates what is wrong with not only the team, but the entire franchise. The entire first five should be released, traded, or let go. That includes Jefferson, Millsap, both Williams, and whatever else we picked up last Summer. The Franchise should be sold to someone who has an interest in the team and wants to build it with players that have an upside and a future. If players like Jefferson and Millsap are not traded by the trade deadline when they are still marketable and instead re-signed, we will face a team of mediocrity for the next five years. This games shows that the Jazz are not competitive with a younger, more athletic team and that they cannot endure an entire NBA season without games like this once more showing how glaringly weak our players are with the rest of the league. The problem starts first with the front office. This team first and foremost needs new ownership and management, one that cares about the future of the franchise. It is obvious from what we acquired last summer that the Millers and their management team doesn't care about the future.

I don't know why Corbin doesn't let Alec Burks play starting PG, he can pass, score, and handle the ball better than Tinsley.

    Blows my mind.

Lack heart? Sure, but how do you replace Larry Miller and Jerry Sloan?

Utah Utes have a very good coach. They are on the upswing. I predict they will be in the hunt for PAC crown in two years.
The Jazz just don't seem to be able to play consistent, hard nosed BB.Maybe get Sloan as a consultant to teach the new guys how to play hard in the league.Carrol is the only guy that looks like he is ready to mix it up every game.

Perfect set-up to a storybook next-year, let Tyrone and the coaching staff go, get Jerry and Johnson back to coach, make the commentators like Thurl Bailey help coach, since they know so much about it all, ditch the 9 free agents and put together a "moneyball" team but be sure to add a team leader and a star quality player, a winner, to the mix, be sure to get Jimmer to keep the place full of fans and add crazy-good three point shooting...mix it up and go to, win the NBA Finals, 2014,just before the end of the world as we know it. Do it, get started right now, make it happen and we'll love you forever Millers! Make Larry proud.

I just dont care about Ute basketball. Ya it would be nice if they were great. But they're not. Until then, I still see the football team as a top 25 team next year, with a whole offseason for a QB who will stay healthy. Can you tell I'm already ready for football season next year?

Going to be a long couple of months.

Absolutely no heart. The Jazz quit in the 2nd quarter. Just quit. Very disheartening.

The Utes? Ugh. Just plain embarrassing up on the hill.

This is a shame. What ever happened to the great Ute teams we had for so many years? And the Jazz, why, I fear the Miller family is just using the team as a decent income source. Very sad. We built up such respect over so many years, and now it's all wasted. The Jazz have no identity and Hayward and Kanter were wasted picks.
