Spending ourselves into a third world country?

America spends x8 times more than any other country on earth, on our military.

How'd that work out for Russia?

When the military makes up over HALF the budget, I know where my cuts would go.

We should invade other countries based on what they MIGHT do?

    Facts only please.

    UT Brit
    London, England,

So, we,ll wait till NK, Iran, or who ever to build their nukes. When the nukes are used, the world will beg the US to bring an end.

May not work. We are downsizing our military, and spending ourselves into a third world country. It would take six hundred thousand dollars for every second in a year to pay off our debt, and we're still spending. We don't have the money, and Americans just blame rather then fix the problem. Like fighting kids.

As for countries building rockets armed with nukes,--we've got to stop it before its too late.

Our country is currently sending billions of dollars, and high tech jets, and tanks to the Muslim Brotherhood. Giving, not selling.--Washington Post. I don't know why.

Exactly how many times has NK, Iraq and Vietnam attacked the US?

How many times has the US attacked NK, Iraq and Vietnam?

Oh and you dropped more bombs on Laos then you did during all of WW2. Hardly holding back now was it?

I can't help being suspicious of people who are anxious for SOMEONE ELSE to bomb/invade/attack another country. Talking about being brave is a lot easier when you're sitting in a lounge chair watching Bill and Sean.

    In the last 4 years...

    Ghdaffi is dead. (LIbya)
Kim Jon Ill is dead. (N. Korea)
and Osama Bin Laden is dead.

$800 million in aid to Pakistan, cut. 07/10/11

You want to claim weak leadership, then you are looking in the mirror.

Not the office of the President.

We don't worry how the N Koreans are.

They should worry about us. That worry doesn't exist right now, because of weak leadership. They sit back, and wait for us to self-destruct in a pool of debt.

First, you have some backbone. N Korea's nuclear facilities can be taken out with bunker busters, guided missiles, and other conventional weapons. If N Korea wanted war, and believe they could win,--they would have done it by now. If we really used our military might, N Korea, Iraq, Vietnam would have been gone quickly, and countries would leave us alone. It's political.

Instead, countries get financial aid, an apology, and a small military punch. If we had commanders with grit, and backbone,--nobody would mess with us.

    Killed Ambassador--blame video
    Threats of nukes--we do nothing
Citizens killed along southern border with ATF guns----executive order halting investigation.

We don't carry a big stick, and are being made fools.

I don't know, Worf. How about you tell us how easy it is, and how the act won't start a war.

Having served in South Korea, I can tell you this.

They will always be threatening someone.

They will always be shooting missiles.

It's alot like a child who is crying for attention.

The Demilitarized Zone or 'DMZ' is the most heavily fortified boarder on earth.

America still has over 30,000 troops in S. Korea at any time. Today included.

How can American rationalize 'taking out' N. Korea's nuclear facilities...when America is the only country to use an Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

Having lived in Korea with my family and seeing this play out from the other side of the world this still is scary. Bottom line is North Korea does not think like we do. Ask a professional thief or serial killer why and you will get the same type of answer from North Koreans. They think in their minds they are above the rules and laws and they will not get caught or do not care. It is really frightening and I hope that one day they collapse before they do something really stupid. Problem is that the people are clueless. They think the world revolves around them. My son went to North Korea and it is another world. Lost in time and completely isolated. Not sure there is a right answer to North Korea. Maybe another East Germany.

What's so hard about taking out their nuclear facilities? Just takes a few minutes, and doesn't require going to war, followed by a costly reconstruction expense. Didn't they just threaten us?

Which war do we start first: North Korea, Syria, Algeria, Iran? Where to begin, again??
