WIth Concealed Weapon Permits being given to numerous people, including a large number to people who don't live in Utah, I want the Governor to state his position on the gun issue. From shooting firefighters to shooting 20 children, what is the Governor's position. Is it to do nothing? Is it to hide behind the 2nd Amendment, and repeat the same old excuses. I hope that Governor Herbert will have the courage to face the political bullying of the NRA, and lead us to better decisions regarding guns. I hope he supports hunting, target shooting, and the the right to protect our homes with firearms, but I also hope he will stop Gun show sales, the selling of assault rifles, and limiting magazines to 10 rounds. I want the Governor to lead us on this issue.

Is it really appropriate for the Tabernacle Choir to be singing at his inauguration?

He has been preparing each year for his inauguration and making sure his coffers are full of money. The freeway may be good in Utah county and he got those voters to win easily in an all Republican state, who voted Matheson back. The Governor should be concerned of the Matheson for Governor in 2016.

I hope that the governor wakes up this term and starts doing his job as governor and instructs DEQ, that while having a good business climate is important to Utah protecting the people and environment from the out of control corporate pollution must be the priority. What good are "jobs" if you are poisoning the workers and tax payers? Emphasis should be on attracting "green" businesses, requiring stricter pollution control methods (such as contained burning of hazardous waste), taxing the polluters to pay for the clean up and damages they cause, and cleaning up the air and water in this State so as to reap the hidden potential for massive tourism dollars. Governor Herbert - do your job - protect the citizens of Utah from this out of control pollution!
