    One Man Wolf Pack:
Are you serious? Is the air thinner down there in St. George? Half a million? Try dividing by 100. They do car washes and the like to raise money just like everyone else and their travel is sponsored by Under Armour for some tourneys.

How much of this travel expense is booster raised? Or, how much of it is from their own school budget? I would love to know since I had to fork out my own money last year to send a JV team away to a school 70 miles away, and my school even though my JV should have had a game on the schedule didn't pay?! Utah sports is not on any level playing field no matter how much they want to say it is. Also heard that LP's budget is near the half a million mark is that correct?

Looks like the other team had more talent!

This team is the best PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL IN THE country for Highschool basketball!

They just lost to a Private school! In there 4th game in 4 days and only playing 6 players, I knew either emery or Haws would have a bad game! They just lost there legs!

Hopefully they can meet this #1 team Montverde again !

Oh and this group would easily improve our Squad at BYU this year, they are so bad this year, and there bench is the worst, and They are expecting 20 ppg from Tyler Haws,

No way should tyler Haws be having to be your scorer, he needs to be a 15 ppg guy and play better Defense, he is so worn out on Defense, Baylor exploited that, just like Florida State did.

But this is a great thing for Utah, they are all from Alpine, all kids on that team, and they just have 2 more games to go show there talent still.

If Lone Peak doesnt get invited to the final 8 teams of the year tourney I will be livid.
    National Championship

To bad emery is headed on a mission, then haws is back anotheryear, mika is a maybe

Congratulations on a great tournament. Lone Peak did well and represented the state. Thanks for giving us a basketball team that's tops in the nation.

Great tourney, Lone Peak. Yes, the final game didn't go well, but, and let's say this slowly... you... were... in...the...FINALS! I don't know anyone at Lone Peak, but congratulations on having such a great season so far. Well done. Heads high. Great learning experience playing the best.

Speak for yourself, because you aren't speaking for the vast majority of us.

Am I sensing envy or just hostility?

    I M
I have and idea, let's get voted to finish in the top 2 for our division, then not even come close to that and then not qualify for a bowl game. Or, let's think we can beat a team by going for 2 when we have stopped them defensively all game and then lose by one. Or, let's get invited to the best tournament and finish second. Who is eating crow now?

    Hype bursting?

They played for the championship... They made it all the way to the end...

    They played in the final.

Does not sound like "hype" to me... Sounds like the real deal to me...

Sounds like they were good enough to play for the championship over whatever teams they beat on the way there...

"Hype?" Does not sound like that to me.

Looks like the real-deal from here.

    Eating crow?

    Good grief.

Who needs to eat crow? The kids, the coach or parents? The reporters who said this team was good enough to play in the championship and beat all the teams there in a major invite-only basketball tourney?

Seriously... Who needs to eat crow?

The kids were good enough to play for the championship. Were certainly skilled and talented.

The reporters who reported that the kids were good enough to play... Got it right.

So who needs to eat crow?

Disappointing ending to an otherwise great tournament for those Lone Peak kids! It's always tough to have your best players have a down game against a team with a talented 7footer in the center anytime. The Cougars recently experienced that with Baylor. They did well in the beginning but eventually got worn down and out.

Lone Peak can hold it's head up. They beat 2 top five teams to advance and that in itself is something to be proud of. Good luck in the future!
