Interesting demand by the china government news source. The U.S. must disarm all its citizens. Now why would China want to disarm the U.S. citizens? Makes it easier to kill 430 to 70 million citizens when they are all unarmed. Ask Mao.

If our only response is that everyone must be prepared and equipped to kill everyone else all the time, these will continue to happen.

Re: "Technology has outdated the 2nd Amendment."

    That's a joke, right?

The ban you suggest would enforce helplessness only on the good guys, while empowering the bad guys, providing them with a never-ending supply of defenseless victims.

No law can affect the lawless.

The God-given wisdom of the constitutional Founders has been proven over, and over, and over again. This is the latest proof that they knew what they were doing.

The only measures having even the slightest chance of improving school security involve training and permitting willing teachers and staff to carry the tools needed to deter and respond to monstrous evil.

We've learned by sad experience that real "peace in our time" cannot be obtained by appeasement or surrender to evil.

As anti-gun liberals are loudly insisting we do.

Hysteria about guns is evidenced by the idea automatic assault weapons are legal. No you have to have a serious license to own one. Semi-automatic covers any gun that requires a squeeze of the trigger for each round without having to manually eject a casing and to chamber the next round. And what is a bona fide military use in the confines of the United States. There is no bona fide use by our military in the united states.

Will government seize your guns, yes they did in New Orleans in a door to door confiscation of registered hand guns after Katrina, leaving residents helpless to defend against criminals.

On November 11, 1938, Germany passed Regulations Against Jews' Possession of Weapons. This regulation effectively deprived all Jews of the right to possess firearms or other weapons. How did that end up for the Jews.

The 2nd Amendment is as relevant today as it was when it was written. To defend ourselves against a tyrannical government requires the people to have the ability to defend against that government.

Technology has outdated the 2nd Amendment. It needs to be repealed and replaced with an amendment that protects citizen rights to use guns for legitimate purposes but ban Semi Automatic and Automatic assault weapons except for bona fida military and police uses. Failing that we really are "helpless" when it comes to the safety of our children, or everyone else for that matter.
