How refreshing it would be, having a president coming clean with the people.

No justifying by what other presidents, or political parties have done, but just man up and tell the truth. Please!

what a shocking response from the GOP and the far right. They hold a top secret briefing on what happened and McCain skips it to do a new conference complaining no one is telling him anything. They hold hearing and the GOP senators and congressman leave the hearing to demanding information. The hearing are discussing the actual events with the people that where actually involved and the far right is screaming because it does not match the conspiracy theories they have all been trying to pass of as facts despite having zero evidence to support their claims. It all just more proof this has nothing to do with trying to determine what happened but rather just a big game by the GOP and far right. disgraceful.

Mountanman: It's "you're" making up facts again, not "your" making up facts again. You know, the contraction for "you are." See how easy it is to scrutinize one's writing. Shall we really go through these posts and see who's misspelling words?

I think there has been enough evidence disclosed and revealed that this commission and hearing is moot and irrelevant. Hundreds of emails and telephone requests documented where those in Benghazi were desperate and asking for help and every thing else is irrelevant to this act treason and incompetence by our president has been proven. Its time he was put on trial for impeachment and let it all out so that America can move on, restore its name and its economy without a mad man child pretending to be a leader.

Witness testimony of every one involved has been proven as an attempted cover up so what ever they say now is irrelevant, even for rice and the president. Trying to discredit each other for the cover up is baseless and waste of time for our congressmen and our DOJ. File the charges and let the facts tell the truth.

Screw driver. Its Al Qaida (sometimes spelled Al Queda), not Alqueida. And by the way, your making up facts again! No one in the Bush administration was warned about airplane into the towers! If you have that information, I am sure the CIA/FBI would love to learn about it! And lastly, about Iraq, President Bush said all along that we were fighting (and still are) not a country, but an ideology in many countries, including Iraq. I would trust the General much more than I would Obama on ANYTHING!

Right wingers are so not funny. They didn't care about Bush having been briefed that Alquieda planned to fly airplanes into buildings and that all the intelligence was supposedly wrong about Iraq. naaaaa na naaaa not listening to any intellegence we don't agree with...

But when a republican General tells you they didn't mention Alquieda in relation to Benghazi because they didn't want to foul up the investigation and tip them off you just double down and want names, heads and impeachment. Do you listen to yourselves?

Carry on destructing your party. You're the only ones that believe you're not acting crazy. Always the last to know....

People, don't you get it? It doesn't matter if Obama lies and is corrupt as long as he keep the free stuff coming for about half the population, they will support him no matter what!

So, if the reality about the attack had come out right away, that would have ruined the government's changes of running the perps down? How close are they now to discovering the guilty parties? I guess we have to wait on that one, too.

"Right, there couldn't possibly be a different explanation, like what Patreaus said: National Security and not tipping them off that we were hunting them."

I guess you are right; we don't want terrorists to know that we are hunting them. So, after we call it a terrorist attack the day after (supposedly), we'll blame it on some stupid video from some months before and hope the terrorists are at ease. After all, the fact that the U.S. is at war against terrorism is supposed to be a huge secret!

Only once the terrorists are lulled into a false sense of security will we then admit that we knew from the time the first shot was fired that it was a terrorist attack and strike them. Boy did we fool those terrorists!

Oh yeah, and it's Bush's fault. I forgot.

Hold President Obama and his administration accountible!

Americans should expect all the answers by now!

Just like the timetable given to Americans, by President Reagan, in the IRAN-CONTRA scandal.

The IRAN-CONTRA scandal began August 1985.

President Reagan got back to Americans, with the details, March 1987.

Americans gave President Reagan 19 months to investigate, analyze, and report the details.

Some Americans give President Obama 2 months.

    Fair enough.

Right, there couldn't possibly be a different explanation, like what Patreaus said: National Security and not tipping them off that we were hunting them.

Although, with your explanation, then I'm sure you feel the same way about Romney not releasing his tax return!

Thanks, Pat. I hopped back on to post that I can't imagine only the AP was allowed at the hearing, so there ought to be a public record of the proceeding. Blaming the AP for trying to cover up a public hearing is funny!

Once again, if you don't hear the story you want to hear, you don't believe it. Wonder if we will ever know the truth behind attacking Iraq when we knew they weren't the cause of 9/11.

RedShirt, SimplyMom, et al. You might try Fox News for the other side of the story - although I have noticed recently attempts by certain people / groups to discredit it.

Once again the AP tries their best to cover up everything and put Obama in the best light possible. The fact that the press has to keep apologizing for the Obama administration and trying to convince the public that they were not covering it up for political purposes should speak volumes.

Democrats, please answer this question: What did Obama know? Surely this question doesn't require investigation, although all the details are unknown (as a hypothetical example: I may have to investigate how my house burned down, but I wouldn't have to investigate if I knew it was burning down when I ran outside to safety).

Come clean and tell us what the truth! The Obama administration already told us once that it was mob violence as a result of a video. Then Obama claims during a debate that he called it a terrorist attack they day after. Those two don't add up! Democrats have no explanation.

One thing we know for sure: Obama is hiding something. If he wasn't, he wouldn't have lied to us about it being from a video when he "knew" it was a terrorist attack.

The question remains, who made the CIA chief use talking points instead of briefing actual information? The only people who can do something like that are cabinet level officials, or the President.

Please won't some reporter dig deep into this, and find out where the lies are coming from? Whoever does that will probably be more famouse than Woodward and Bernstein.

I agree Simplymom. If Petraus lied about his affair, which he most likely had to do (wife), then what is to keep him from lying about Benghazi? His career is over, his marriage is over, he has nothing to lose. Especially if he has some under the table help from the White House. And for Sen Schiff to say that it wasn't politicized is laughable. What makes the Democrat from CAlifornia the know-it-all? Sorry but I don't trust anything coming out of Washington. Are there honest people there???

I'm sorry but as I read any AP news articles or hear any national news story anymore, I just don't believe anything. I'd really like to know the truth of what is going on. But we have such a corrupt White House with a corrupt news media that supports the White House completely that I don't even know why I bother to read or listen to the news. You can't trust a liar even when they might be telling the truth. I hope that somehow the honest people in Washington will get to the bottom of the Libya fiasco and give us the truth!
