    re:Mike in Texas

Mike, does 10%++ unemployment phase you? How about 20 trillion in debt? I wonder about folks like you that just don't seem to care about reality but seem instead to live in some sort of Alfred E Newman utopia - "what, me worry?". Do you have any understanding at all about the relation of our national debt and the future your kids will have in this country? Anything at all? I would try to explain but I doubt it would matter - you just don't get it. I suspect when the "harsh numbers" of unemployment start to hit home it may just get your attention .... but then again it won't be Obama's fault will it. Mitt was 100% correct about the 47% comment. How do reach people who DON'T pay taxes, who collect welfare checks for the majority of their income and see themselves as victims .... ask what your country will do for you and not what you can do for your country". Most of this rabble won't work and could care less about taxes because they pay none. There are 2 Americas out there Mike - two divided Americas. I have no interest in your America.

Cynicism has set in at 12.24 a.m. today. I wonder what caused that. Mitt waw wrong on the 47% and it cost him the election patriot. And, patriot you are so wrong in your disapointment. But perhaps you are right, unhappy rightwingers should just forget about politics. I would love that.

have to say it is hard to care anymore about a country that is as blind and lost as America. Mitt was right on the money about the 47%... he was a few percent off however because it is more like 55%. The victim crowd. The entitlement crowd. The non tax paying crowd. The freeloader crowd. That's America 2012. Does a country like this deserve freedom? Prosperity? Not a chance. In 25 years we will look back to this day and mark it as the day freedom died in America. Again - after caring so much for so long and then seeing what the majority of this sorry country really has become - it is hard to muster up any more caring. Time to forget politics and just concentrate on family and self.

Utah has "slid to the bottom" because of its almost unique one party rule. Republicans have controlled the state for so long that voting is just a rubber stanmp operation. They control the local media, they gerrymander the districts, they make use of religious combinations to control the informal political milleu. Its such a shame.

    If you don't vote, don't complain about the results . . .
