The news media were definitely involved in the reporting of this significant event for the people of the east coast and their families, coast to coast.

It was an event that doesn't happen very often in that part of the world. Earthquakes and significant mammoth storms occur more now than in the past.

The President was present in so many shots of the day showing that he cared for those in the storms path. That must have been hard on him to have to see the wrath of a storm and what it can do to people in harm's way. At least those people were given advance warning and had the full apparent strength of the our government, at all levels. The Governors, also, were there as always making sure their residents were protected as much as possible in any kind assistance and even prodding that some needed to help be protected.

The goodness and dedication of local, state and outreaching of churches and organizations that provide assistance in time of need.

I am grateful I live in the United States of America. I believe the Embassy personnel should have felt the same about their employer, federal government.
