I'm just one person, but after ten years of attending the 4A state final, I wil not be attending this year. I just can't get excited about it after seeing the favoritism being dished out. I say lets boycott it and send a message to the UHSAA that they will definitely hear.

East has 1 player out with a torn ACL.

I was hoping Herriman was going to pull it off, I thought they had it going until the KO return. However, to all the East fans, lets assume that T-View gets past WX and East gets past Box Elder. You gave up over 300 yards passing to a team who's main game plan is to run the ball. Herriman throws the ball maybe 12 times a game, if that. You were exposed against Logan despite finding out days before not just before the game Mr. Dex-87 that you were not in the playoffs. T-View is going to light the weak secondary of East up. Sorry, your in trouble, yet you do have a couple of weeks to get ready for it. Good Luck you will need it. You have a target on your back, everybody wants you out. If you survive and do win it all, the more power to ya. But I just don't see it happening.

Agree to disagree, with all that went down with EAst high its hard to speculate weather the game against Logan was even crediable. Before the game the coaches and players learn that there season was done. that took the wind out of their sails. players looked like they wasnt into the game. with that said in mind i think the game is going to be a good one (T-View vs East ) 27-23 T-View. The reason i say that is, East has 3 of their key skill players out. all torn ACL

East vs. Timpview in the Sanction Bowl Semi-Finals.

I like Timpview in this one. They are not as physical but physical enough. Their WR's are unbelievably fast, just ask Logan. They weren't ready for East last year but Timpview seems to be cruising at the right speed. It should be a good game. Box Elder and WX are bumps in the road until this meeting which is really the state title game of sorts.

    nice prediction Beeno.

I like how you always find a silvr lining...and one to make Herriman look good.

Let I remind you, East lost at Logan just a week and a half ago. Timpview went there and destroyed Logan on that same field.

I wouldnt take East over Timpview. Timpview is better, as I have seen em both. But I am sure TV is focused 100 percent on WX and loves letting people talk about East.

    Just ask Logan....

    LOL @bigbenzo

It does not matter in the playoffs what you lost by!

who worries about the strenght of Herriman anymore or care about any other team not putting up as much fight as your self.

You have no ideea what Box Elder is like, they compete with everyone,
Timpview CAN beat East from what I just saw of Timpview on friday watching that game against the same Logan team who put up 50 points on East. Granted East was kinda having a rough week and it was a meaningless game.

But this will be the matchup of East Vs Timpview!

The guy who is in love with the WX wildcats,

That nonsense is about to come to a real quick stop with Timpview coming into town!

@sportsfanforlife - I was born and raised in Ohio, played football at Northwestern and have only lived in Utah for a few years...I'm a Northwestern and Ohio State fan and have no connection to BYU, Utah or Utah State.

@binghamalum - I knew both of East's lines were big...their defensive line was better than I thought. Herriman never backed down from East...but didn't knock them out when they had the chance. Herriman went up 8-0 in the 2nd quarter and then let East score on a kickoff and that shifted momentum back to East. East scored two more times and went up 8-20 over Herriman at the half. Another score by East put the score 8-27...but Herriman held strong by intercepting an East pass in the endzone and then scoring again to make it 16-27 and simply ran out of time. I think Region 6 will go 1-3 and Orem, Mountain Crest, Timpview and East will go to Rice-Eccles. To show the true strength of Herriman...I predict an East State Championship with no team coming within 11 points of East and no team holding them under 27 points!!!!

This was a good game, but again just to much big players and no protection

Herriman showed they have alot of heart and grit, but just quite not enough against a good team!

Region went 0-4 this year in the playoffs, and some how if
Highland, Bountiful, Woodscross, and East win this could be crazy all from one region!

Even though Woods cross wont win against Timpview!

Herriman still got a bad deal with the East controversy. I feel bad for the Herriman program that got stuck in a terrible spot. East is probably the best 4A team and Herriman should not have played them in the first round after they had won their region. Weird how East broke the rules and in many ways landed in a great spot for the playoffs.

@86&90UTE - Either your weren't at the game, don't know football or don't know simple arithmetic. What do you mean when you say "Wow, all that hype and Herriman really didn't back it up!" Here are the facts: Herriman held East to its lowest point total of the year at 27. Herriman scored the 2nd most points against East at 16 (Logan scored the most at 51). Herriman is the only team to hold East scoreless in two quarters.

As far as being called pathetic for not getting out of the first round in our first three years...remember this...over the past 15 years...Herriman has as many State Championships as East!!!

Again...this was a hard fought game...can't help but to think that this game should have been in 2 weeks at Rice-Eccles. Hopefully UHSAA will get things worked out in the future so that this type of fiasco does not happen again. A seeding system based on ranking and not region would be a nice start. With two of the top five teams in 4A gone...the focus turns to Timpview and East as the teams to beat!!!!

@ 86&90UTE, try to stay classy.

Herriman earned the opportunity to play a lower seed team and get a couple of wins in the state playoffs. They would've run into East on a neutral field and the results may have been the same, but the Mustangs deserved better treatment by the gutless UHSAA. East is the better team and showed it tonight, but perhaps you can show some integrity by congratulating a third year school for making the playoffs every year since opening. Herriman didn't "hype" up anything but they did bring respect and excitement to our whole community. We are proud of the great season and a decent game against a great East team. I was at the game and there was plenty of respect from both sides. Go Herriman!!

Oh, and if there are more complaints about Herriman "dropping down", that too is a UHSAA decision. Kinda makes your understanding of the system pathetic.

Finally, the Heriman posters can shut it down. Even dropping down to the weaker 4A division, Herriman still can't get out of the first round! Pathetic! Go EAST! Bring on ANOTHER road game. Wow, all that hype and Herriman really didn't back it up!

Good fight, Herriman. Benzo, we'll see you next year. East, way to come away with the win. In the Game Preview I predicted a 27-17 win for East. Anyone beat me?
