No one is looking at mtn crest... they are the real deal and should technically be undefeated... and northridge resting more than a dozen starters is a bunch of bull... they played all out and we still beat... Stangs are going to play east at state, no other way about it!!!

It takes much more than simple game planning to win a game. The players have to execute that game plan vs. a very talented East team. I've seen great game plans get blown up many times, it's the players who have to make it work. Great coaching can only get you so far.

Mobley is Benzo's son, it seems. Good player. But East will still win. Nothin' but love, Benzo! If Herriman pulls it off, I will be the first to jump on here and finally admit that Herriman is as legit as you've been saying all season long. Even if they were to lose later in the playoffs, a win over East would prove your point and solidify Herriman's place on the map! I don't doubt they have the heart for it. We'll see if that's enough.

@BigBenzo88...who is Mobley?...No way is he or any Harriman player better than Sean Barton. Sean is the real deal just ask Stanford. It doesn't matter who wins your game cause the CATS are coming out of this bracket. This is OUR year!! GO WX!! GO CATS!!

Wow, for all the talk coming out of Herrimann they'd better show up and win or nobody will ever listen to anything coming out of West Riverton again.

@binghamalum - because I have eyes and know the game. As far as Herriman's secondary...I don't know of a better secondary in 4A or in Utah. Mobley is the hardest hitting safety in the state...and yes that includes WX Sean Barton and he has the most tackles and PBUs of any defensive back in Utah. Mobley, Hay and Bernard as a group are intimidating and will not back down from Fakahafua. I believe our QB is better than East's because of his size and ability to throw the ball upfield...but I think at RB East and Herriman are pretty even. Tulutau is awesome...but Bernard is equally impressive and is complemented by Farmer as the only backfield in Utah with two 1,000 yd rushers.

I have watched film on 9 of East's games and will be watching the East/Logan game tonight. I agree that East has the advantage on the offensive and defensive line...I have never doubted that. However, I believe a simple gameplan can overcome our issues at the line of scrimmage.

In the end...this will be a game of the ages!!!

Why do you possibly thing your secondary and your QB and RB are better then East?

What that means to me is that you havent seen East yet this year.

They are bigger then any other Line in the state.
Herriman could not score on Riverton who is half the size of East!

East has there work cut out for them but shoot I think they win by 14 points or more.

Herriman can shut up the state and all this matter real quick with a WIN saturday. Stoked for the game, Hopefully its at Noon!

Go Herriman! You can do it:) I for one will be rooting for you guys!

Everyone on here that says East is going to smash Herriman...what is this based on??? Herriman and East have had 2 common opponents and the score and outcome were identical. Region 7 is 3-2 versus Region 6...so this belief that East will smash Herriman is either pride or lack of understanding of the game.

As I have watched film of East I can see that they are a strong team...however...East only has an advantage over Herriman at offensive line and defensive line. They are equal at linebacker and Herriman has the edge at secondary. The teams are equal at running back, Herriman has the edge at QB and WR. A simple game plan by Herriman can overcome the deficiency at the line.

I don't think East will smash Herriman and I am predicting Herriman to win by 3 to 7 points. Regardless of who wins this game...the game will be decided in the 4th quarter. I will not be shocked when Herriman wins...but I think most of the valley will be.

First round 4A is definitely more intense than 5A this year, but there may still be some upsets in 5A. But you guys are kidding yourselves if you think that East won't sail past Herriman. Herriman has been better than I thought they were, but East has too much motivation at this point to not show up to play their A game! 37-14 final score. I'm more looking forward to the Timpview vs Logan game! I pick Timpview 27-24.

Logan will definitely have to earn a trip to rice. What a killer first round!

I would think at this point that Logan is the team to beat...they have beaten East 3 times in the last 12 months!!!

East is a powerful team...but some simple game planning will allow Herriman to beat them at home this weekend.

Look for Herriman and Logan to match up at RES for a chance to play Bountiful, Mountain Crest or Orem...yes I said Orem. The upper bracket is wide open for anyone to take!!!!

    Orem is so under rated.

How is East the clear favorite? They won't play at home, have lost 3 straight to Logan, and won't have matich for their first 3 games.. No disrespect as they are an excellent team, I just don't think there is a "clear favorite"

Is East's record really 2-7 because it was they wouldn't be in the state tournament, right?
