I know for as many scouts as their are across the country, the percentage of incidents is actually very small. However, this is exactly why my boy does not participate in the scouting program, and if he does participate in an activity, as his father I am always there. The Scout leaders get frustrated with me as to why I don't trust them. My answer is always the same, "It is not that I don't trust you, but nobody will watch my kid and take care of my kid the way I will." The scouting program is not the same as it was many years ago. It meant something to people in years past, not it appears to be a simple past time and baby sitting tool for parents. Not only that, the scouting commission and districts have not grown with the times and they are far to outdated all the way through the program.

More reason that leaders who have homosexual tendencies should not be allowed to be scout leaders. Sometimes leaders hide these homosexual feelings, but for those who are open about it, we should be as safe as possible.

    So sad for the boys.

You can't trust the Boy Scouts?

I suppose next we will learn you can't trust religions?
