If the late Rodney Dangerfield had done a candidate debate, I think it would have been very much like the Biden performance.
Do we really want someone like that a heartbeat away from the presidency?

Funny how two different people can watch the same event and come away with different opininons on who the jerk was and what were lies. Glad and thankful I live in a country where we all don't have to get bullied into falling in line with the blowhards that were on stage last night or the people who pepper the blog.

Don't ya just love how Republicans can dish it out, but when the tables are turned, they have never been able to take it.

Rationalizing that the debates aren't watched that much by people is an excuse. Debates are important, even if no one watches them. They document what the President, the most powerful one person, does or believes and practices for our next 4 years.

Not everyone goes to the polling place or votes, either. Does that make it any less important?

We have obligations are citizens of the United States of America. When people go through the process to become a citizen, besides taking an oath, they go to classes.

In school, we go to civics classes to learn about our country. That doesn't mean we learned what we need to for life, but it means we passed the course in order to graduate.

People don't take our country's process seriously, either.

We go to sports events and pay very high prices to go to movies, with neither in reality of life.

Debates show the character of the person we are voting for in a stressful situation. It is unfortunate that the VP did not show cordiality to his opponent. It is not a football game where you beat the other person up with actions, demeanor and incivility.

What a disgraceful display by Joe Biden and team Obama. This planned "side show" complete with smirks, laughing, over-talking and lies was supposed to "get back" at the GOP for Obama's pitiful performance but what it ended up doing was to disgust Americans across this country and show - once and for all - what a shallow and detached bunch the far left is in this country. Americans are not impressed by a fake side show - most see through the programmed and practiced bar room brawler performance by uncle Joe and instead wonder how in the world we allowed this rabble to get into the White House in the first place. If someone were to treat you like Biden treated Ryan you would simply call the guy a big jerk and walk away. The best line I heard after the debate said "debating Biden was like getting trapped in a bar for a couple hours beside a blow hard drunk". Obama and Biden appeal to the worst of his country. Finally - Biden had the LIE meter lighting up all night long from his lies about the Embassy attack to the disappearing 700 billion from medicare. DISGUSTING!!! NOT SURPRISING.
