It's not so much the O line as absolutely no blocking from the tight ends. Shawn Asiata also did a great job opening holes last year and is sorely missed. Hays is not a bad QB but, he needs time to throw and is not getting it which puts even more pressure on the run game. Johnson is going to be great but, he needs to learn when to call screens and draws and such to not allow teams to blitz as much.

"nothing resembling a D1 offensive line in front of him" it could be worse. He could have byu's. They will get better, they have played together now 4 games. I sometimes think that people think that it will just happen overnight. We have played 1 conference game and there is time to get better. After last night there will probably only be 1 undefeated team in the PAC12 man how much fun is it going to be, Utah will be part of it.

Class kid. Someone else might blame the injury or make mention of the fact that he simply has nothing resembling a D1 offensive line in front of him, but the Wolfman takes it on himself. That's leadership.

Good luck to you John, the mental game is a hard one to overcome. There's a lot of people counting on you to have a miraculous season.
