I might vote for Hatch - just to irritate you.

With all of your studying, please tell us how the government seized property (bonds) from G.M. bond holders without paying for those bonds (in direct violation of the 5th Amendment) and then took $49 BILLION out of the public treasury to "buy" G.M. for the unions and for a foreign country.

Read the oath of office (contained in the Constitution) and then explain Obama's refusal to prosecute illegal aliens. How about DOMA? How about fast and furious?

Please enlighten us with direct quotes from the Constitution that allow him to give machine guns to terrorists in Mexico, guns that were used to kill Brian Terry, a border patrol guard.

When you've explained those points then tell us how Obama could open our treasury to George Soros and "loan" him $2 billion to drill off the Brazilian coast when he had shut down drilling in the gulf and in the Western States.

Tell us how Obama was authorized to give G.M. a tax credit against future earnings (which the IRS said was totally illegal).

YOU claimed that he had full authority.

The use of terms like "proper learning" and "right action" seem to be code words for some subgroup's values.

Is the writer of this letter attempting to communicate only with some small cadre of true believers or is she actually trying to communicate to a broader spectrum of American readers

I suspect the former, when she should be doing the latter. How ironic!

"Rock Stars try to wow us with their presence. They get on stage and sing and dance. The give us a circus performance to distract us from reality."
What a perfect description of Romney. Romney doesn't give facts or figures or potential solutions to problems -- he gives generalities and rhetoric, dishonestly portray his opponent. We do not need a mendacious, dishonest, manipulative, out-of-touch circus performer like Romney as president.

    "The deficit"
Yes, the deficit rose during the Obama administration. It rose as a result of two unfunded tax cuts that weren't cancelled, two unfunded wars, and the efforts and costs necessary to pull the country out of the financial hole that the previous administration put it into.

    "Become informed."
I am informed. I have STUDIED the Constitution, not just read it as you say you've done. I have STUDIED it at length in its full breadth and depth. If you had STUDIED the Constitution and not just read it, you would know that President Obama had Constitutional authority for everything he did. The President has fully upheld the oath he took at his inauguration.

Who knows enough to teach us? If we can learn from God, great! Otherwise seek knowledge at least from people with different opinions and not just those with whom you already agree. You will find some truth on both sides of most political divides. You will not be very teachable if you are unwilling to accept that you, like me, have built up personal prejudices not necessarily based on truth and logic. We need to talk to each other with some civility so we can learn from each other.

Rock Stars try to wow us with their presence. They get on stage and sing and dance. The give us a circus performance to distract us from reality.

Romney lists facts about the state of the world, of the country and of the economy while rock-star Obama sings and dances his way across America.

The facts are easily found. No one can deny that Obama increased the deficit by $5,000,000,000,000 since taking office. It was at $10,000,000,000,000 when he took office. He increased it by 50%. No one can deny the fact that he seized G.M., used $49,000,000,000 of public money to "buy" it and that he gave $39,000,000,000 in future tax credits if G.M. made a profit.

Become informed. Study what Obama DID while in office, then, read the Constitution and see for yourself that he was NOT authorized to do those things. He took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. He rejected that oath. He's "winging" it, while ignorant people clap and shout for him to continue. We do not need a circus performer as President.

So Kim, what do you propose? Who is more evil, the corruptor or the corrupted?

So, just where is this education to be found?

Is it found in books, magazines, newspapers, radio, TV, big government, big business, church, our neighbor, or perhaps within ourselves.

If school would teach us how to learn, maybe we could use all those sources and then seek the truth by our own wisdom. The fact is that none of the outside sources of information are free from falsehood and ulterior motives. The only person we can really trust is ourselves. And then only if we learn how to learn.

If we allow others to provide our education, we are not really educated, but just indoctrinated.
