@ BigBenzo88, Region 7 matches up with Region 6 in the first round of the playoffs. It won't let me post the link, but you can find it on the UHSAA site under the football tab. And one thing to note is the Region 8 No.5 and the Region 6 No. 4 are having their play-in game, with the team most likely being either WX or Highland for Region 6, and that makes for a fun 1st round game if (And when IMO) Herriman takes the Region 7 title. Exciting stuff in 4A!

He is the stud you have heard of. He just twisted something breaking up a pass early on and they hardly ran any offense through him after that. His closing speed on D was still great. I do not know if Bountiful can beat East. If anyone can, it is them though. Very similar games. Smash mouth D, and run it down your throat O. East has a little bit more size, but the game is at Bountiful. Coach Wall is a football genius, as well. Who knows! High school football is a fun thing. Good luck with your season.

WXcat - I liked your reply. Is Barton the stud RB/DB I've heard about? Did he get knocked out of the game? Will be playing next week? I guess the East/Bountiful and Bountiful/WX games will be key. Is it possible for Bountiful to beat East? If Bountiful could beat them then it would even things out again for the entire region.

Well I'm hoping that Region 7 matches up with Region 8 in the playoffs and that East is on the other side of the bracket from Herriman. I'm actually predicting Herriman, East, Bountiful and WX in the 4A Quarterfinals.

    Good luck to WX.

I would definitely say you still have to worry about all 4 teams. This game was a lot closer than it looks. Take away some penalties, and have a healthy Barton, it very well might have been different. I think East will Win out in region. Bountiful and WX is the last game of region and that will decide second place. Highland looks like they may have figured things out but arent as elite as years past. And Herriman is looking good! I would not want to play them in the playoffs. Good luck with the rest of the season.

Region 6 is hard to figure out...but East has made its petition that it is the best by beating WX. At the beginning of the season, I thought that Region 6 would be balanced with all 4 playoff teams have 1 loss in region...but now it looks like East has separated itself and maybe Bountiful as well. So probably East vs Bountiful win region unless something funny happens when East plays Highland.

I still believe Region 6 is a forced to be reckoned with...but instead of worrying about all 4 teams...other Regions in the playoffs may only have to worry about 2....East and Bountiful.

East is legit. No doubt about it. Their D and running game is incredible. Too bad Barton went down and became pretty much a non factor in the offense. Also some weird calls. Definitely not blaming refs, though. Even if a "perfect" game was called East still wins this game. They are the better team this point in the season. Good luck with the rest of region Leopards. Lets win out, Cats! Go WX.

Once again East football is underestimated. It's impressive (and a bit annoying) the way they keep pulling ahead in spite of the sloppiness- but no doubt, their defense dominates.
