ALTA.... there defense overpursued alllllllll night long people.
Jordan ran right at them yes, but alot of there yards were because defensive players going for the big play and playing right into the MISDIRECTION plays Jordan ran all night.

I feel Brighton has a better line, and can be a better defense then Alta just proved.

Alta gives up 350 yards rushing. Loses only by 8 points. Unbelieveable.
Stack the group with 8 guys. MAKE Austin throw the ball.

I know the sophmore qb is a good good player yes... but if he has to throw more then 20 times in a game.... JORDAN WILL LOSE.

Alta just played sloppy on defense, and I see someone stacking the box with 9 guys and playing one on one in the corners.... who does that..... oh thats right.... Bingham can.

Alta still played Bingham when they missed 2 linemen.

If Bingham could get some offense.

But I hope that Brighton beats Alta, then shuts down Jordan to. No one in the state wants to see a Jordan football team be good... because they talk way to much!
Syracuse, Brighton, Alta, and Bingham can all beat Jordan.
Just do it in the playoffs.

I don't care how old he is, what he was named last year, or how many yards he threw for last year. He also threw 20 picks last year also. What I was saying is that he isn't a very good passer. There is a reason they ran the ball a lot on friday, because it gave them the best chance to win. Ive seen 3 games this year and he hasn't looked good trowing the ball in any of them. His motion and accuracy are awful, if the guys weren't wide open it wasn't completed. maybe 3 of 5 games isn't enough of a sample size. He also threw 3 picks in those games. He is way overrated as a passer. But that is just my opinion and its a good thing for him that mine doesn't matter.

For those of you who question Kafentis' arm, please remember a few things: First he is a Soph, his strength will continue to improve. Second, don't knock on him for his yards in the last game the Digger game plan was to run it right up the middle on Alta. Don't doubt this kid, check his yards from last year, he is not the National Freshman of the Year for nothing. He is a superior talent to Baron G at Lone Peak, this kid will tear it up for another 2 years after this year. He is in the superior offense in the state, no doubt, he is a real talent with the wheels and arm for the next level. Take that to the bank.

@BEETS - I don't think Uncle Sam said Kafentzis had a weak arm, he just said that he was not a great thrower. I would have to agree with him to a point. I watched a few of his games last year and watch him in 7-on-7 against Herriman. It appears that his passing yards are a product of the offense that Jordan runs. I would say that 75% of his passing yards come on passes that are 5 yards or less and then the receiver works to get yards after the catch. I would also bet that Kafentzis also has the highest amount of passing attempts. So I believe the Lone Peak QB would have similiar numbers. Kafentzis in an incredible athlete...the javelin state record is proof of that....I just think is throwing accuracy is off...especially on passes more than 20 yards.

you guys are right about Kafentzis' arm. He only threw for about 4000 yards last year
And broke the state record in the javelin. I'd say that's a pretty weak arm. Come on.
He's one of the best passers in the state. The plan was to run the ball. Maybe you missed 30 yard pass he threw as he was going down. I'd say he has a great arm.

Moss is JUCO material at best.

Agree about Kafentzis, not a great thrower but good runner and athlete. I don't see him as a college QB. Likely converted to a DB.

Fun game to watch, now jordan and alta are 4-1. Headline made it seem like Jordan ran away with it. I thought it was a good game all night long. Jordans passing game isn't very good this year compared to how it has been. Austin can't throw it very well, but I think that is a good thing cause there running game is way better than in the past. Im feeling a Bingham vs Jordan Title game and i think it will be a good one. There isn't a team that is way better than everyone else this year like in the past 3 years which makes it fun.

Moss is a legit runningback for sure, top 5 in the state. the wx kid is committed to stanford and brighton kid is going to the U so i don't think he is number 1 but top 5 for sure.

Clay Moss Is Thee best running back in state no question. I'm expecting great things from this kid, everyone keep your eyes open. He is great and a fun player to watch with his explosive first step and ability to stay on his feet after contact. He is the reason why Jordan won this game, but he still stayed humble and gave his O line all the credit. Won't be surprised at all if he gets alot more college looks after this game. In his first 2 games of the year he had two touch downs while also starting at defense. This kid loves contact and will always fight for the extra yards. THIS KID HAS HEART. And that's something you can't teach.

Yes! Yes! Yes! 6 long years over with a win against Alta! I love it! Best feeling in the world right now to finally beat an Alta team that's been beating Jordan but a FG, missed extra point and blowing a 4th quarter lead/ Finally, the 'Diggers get some redemption, beating them down. Ah..... I'll never forget that score.... 36-24 yes!! Yes! Yes! Loved the Alta fan just standing there in awe after the game with their faces dropped shocked to see that they lost. lol loved all of it! Thank you Jordan! Finally!
