At RES. Two years in a row, coming off an epic beatdown. Our athletic ability continues to get better and better as we recruit BCS talent. You continue to recruit WAC talent.

If byu wins I wont post all year

    I'll be posting all year.

    Mark it down

I remember that from last year. They had a promo on their marquees saying "Anyone with a Utah/BYU ticket come in for a free turnover." That promo started before the game was played, but a lot of people thought Arby's was taking a shot at the Cougars embarrassing loss. Perhaps a neutral menu item would be safer. :-)

Will Arby's be giving out free Cherry or Blueberry turnovers after the game this year?

The Utes will be ready. Special teams was the difference last week. I'm certain Kyle will make the adjustments. Nobody like injuries, suspensions but that is part of the game. Someone will step it up.

Utah is not worried about BYU's offense but their own.

Agree with Jeff; turnovers will determine who wins.

And Samoan from VA, the comment "that God favors you over them," came from some Utah fans years ago. All the holier-than-thou speech begins in Salt Lake and ends in Logan.

Last year is completely irrelevant. Won't happen again.

BYU wins this one. BYU defense is big, fast, vicious and healthy. They'll be in Utah backfield all day. Hard to run on them, too. I'm now looking for something like WSU game. It could get ugly. BYU kicking game is also very good. Tough to get good field position.

I don't think BYU offense will turn it over much. Maybe one or two. People forget that Nelson makes stuff happen and the hurry-up offense could unsettle things with Utah defense. Hoffman and Apo are big targets, and unlike last year, BYU has tight ends. BYU will pass to open up the run. Utah will not be able to run - can they pass against new BYU secondary? How many sacks will BYU rack up?

    30-10 seems about right.

Do you not think that the Cougars are angry about last year?

To my beloved Cougs..."Beware the ghost of 54-10." Don't be cocky or think you're much better than them now. Please don't underestimate the resolve of an angry bunch of wounded Utes. I wish the Aggies hadn't humiliated them but now they're mad and you are going to be the unfortunate recipient of that wrath. No more free gifts, please! You ain't their Santa Clause! And don't be fooled into that nonsense that God favors you over them, wherever that idiotic comment came from.

Have a great game and Go Cougars!

Really? If John White gets 150+ rush yards Utah will win the game??? thanks for the great analysis buddy, you're really going out on a limb there with that prediction. BYU will win this game simply because there offense is far superior to Utah's offense and their defense is just as good as Utah's for this particular game (due to key utah defensive players being out). Nobody realizes the impact a safety and cornerback have on a game. For all you who think that Utah has the best defense to set foot on God's green earth, i'm sorry, but 4 sacks through two games against terrible-mediocre competition is not that good.

The U offensive was invaded by a great USU defense. Of course the y will get a taste next month.

Look for the U to win the turnover battle as Riley is forced to make risky choices. Nelsen doesn't have the arm to throw long, and takes way too many risky chances when under pressure. The hungry Utes defense will provide the Utes with the short yardage opportunities needed to win the game.

On the bright side, it will be a little closer than last year.

There is another determinant factor and that is John White. If John White gets 150+ yards on the ground combined with a couple big plays in the passing game or special teams then the Utes win. If John White gets held to less than a 100 yards then BYU wins. If he gets between 100-150 yards then it depends on other factors. BYU should win on paper, they have the senior quarterback and BYU has been highly successful against Utah when they have a senior quarterback historically (BYU won 10 out of 11 games against when they had a senior quarterback). Also Utah's offensive line got invaded by a USU defense that is nowhere near as good as BYU's defensive line or linebacker core which should give John White problems. Really it is BYU's game as long as they don't screw it up, but I think they'll come ready and get a win.
