'Utes must live up to expectations’

    They already have! Thanks Aggies!

With what Hays showed last week, the O-Line issues, and White being banged up I can't see this team being any better than last year specially consideirng UCLA and Arizona look legit so far.

We're also in big trouble this week considering "when the Cougars start a senior quarterback, they have won 10 of the last 11 games against Utah".

The season is not lost just because we dropped a game to utah state. Anyone who says that is a fairweather bandwagoner and not a true Ute fan. We have talent we just have to get back to how utah plays with confidence and a chip on our shoulder. We have a lot of great games coming up on the schedule. BYU thinks utah is going to be a pushover for them. They are all thinking they are going to get revenge. We lost wynn like we did last year but hays is a whole new QB from when he got tossed in as an afterthought recruit no one saw being used as a starter. I hope they get overconfident so we can add an exclamation point to the history of this rivalry for utah before we take a break. It will be more of a traditional close game maybe even decided in OT. I can't wait for Sat! Go UTES!

However the aggies are better than they are getting credit for yet. We really weren't as embarrassed as our detractors would like to think. I for one am glad the dirty laundry was tossed out onto the field earlier rather than later.
I feel for Wynn but he has never gotten his arm back to where he was as a sophomore. The repair on his shoulders couldn't cut it and he was doomed from that point on. It is a testament to his skills of where he could have been had he never been injured with how he played when he came back playing with a bad shoulder.
Hays has had massive improvement. Our coaches are excellent and do an impressive job of developing guys beyond their natural abilities. Its one of our hallmarks here at the U. Let John play he has a spark and the O plays with more inspiration when he is out on the field. Wilson is going to be awesome but he's still raw let him take over next year.

The utah state game revealed what I was afraid I saw in the Northern Colorado game, an offensive line that wasn't very good. They were letting NC get to the quarterback way too much and couldn't really open up holes for john. This was against an FCS team. Wynn's throws were anemic and he had no arm strength to pass deep. During utah state there was some shuffling going on at O-line as they could see things were bad. That missed assignment on the punt in the first quarter was unacceptable and probably was the game winning play. It put Utah on its heels and gave the aggies huge momentum to their otherwise stalled offense due to our stout defense. They smelled blood and they got it.

The Utes need to wake up and smell the roses. Their play is too predictable. What happened to the explosive offense we heard so much about? Or perhaps, other teams are catching up and are just as skilled and talented as Utah's players. Either way, if they want ANY respect, they have show it and win convincingly! Go UTES!

I still think on defense Utah's linebackers are suspect. Maybe they will prove to be outstanding. Hopefully. We will see.

I hope, for the Utes, that they can actually have a good season. The way they started, even with Wynn, was bad enough. Now it just got a lot harder.

Honestly believe that the Utes are better without Wynn.

Who cares about what was expected pre-season? its all about showing up on the field and doing it in the games. From what i have seen this year thus far Utah is a 7-5 8-4 team just like last year. Yes they have improved from last year, but so has everyone else. But again, it only matters what happens on the field!

    GO UTES!
