"The Utes lost last week because USU is legit, not because they are PAC cellar dwellers."

Disagree. The Utes lost because they were not as good as they thought they were. I'm not discounting USU the least bit in this statement. Chuckie had some great moments against an inept Utah defense.

We've known for sometime that the Ute O-line has had problems. It was absolutely exposed and miserable against the Aggies and Jordan is gone because of it. White IV could not make any headway, same problem and then some. With Hays coming in it might open up some, can't be any worse than what we saw Friday.

I think the Cougars will be able to exploit the same weaknesses and then some.

And the PAC South Division has a pulse this preseason. Utes won't have it as easy as last year.

"No, he gets along with everybody. If someone gets hurt, he's the first to take them to the office and sit with them to get help."

that comment alone won me over.

Last week Utah seemed to play better after Wynn left the game...Cougs will have to be ready to go top speed, and hang on to the football to come out on top, go Cougars.

BYU fans that are passing off Saturday's game as an easy win are crazy. Yes, the Utes lost Jordan Wynn... but they've already learned to play without him and aren't a dramatically different team in his absence. The Utes have a great defense and remember that it is a rivalry game where anything can happen. The Utes lost last week because USU is legit, not because they are PAC cellar dwellers. I still think there is a good chance they compete for the PAC south title this year. Now, that being said... I still believe BYU has this one. Our rushing defense is great and should hold up against the Utes. Last week showed that we have several playmakers--like Falslev--who can step up if needed. We also have a few bona fide stars (i.e. Van Noy, Ogletree, Hoffman) and a great leader in Riley Nelson. Only four more days, I can't wait. Go Cougs!

Oh, and 54-10, did you pick up any new highlights last weekend? I understand there were several.

Hmmm, another undersized, overachieving, hard working, punt returning choir boy.

I wonder why Bronco likes these guys so much?

Not really. I wonder why some of our own fans don't like them more.

You mean 10 going on 54?

After losing to the Aggies, losing on national tv on ESPN, losing Wynn, White going nowhere, and Blechen suspended for 3 games is pretty depressing.

AND then seeing UCLA, AU, and OSU all win this past weekend there's not much to hope for except a never ending path to the woodshed in the PAC 10 + .2! Utes won't make .500 this season.

Things are not going well in Uteville.

Seeing the Utes face plant this weekend will do them in for 2012.

@54-10 - I hope you enjoyed your year of gloating. What will you change your moniker to after Saturday? Your screen name will come to an end on Saturday, while mine will live on as long as I'm in Texas. You seem to live for only one game each year, instead of understanding that a season consists of 12 or 13 games. To me, Saturday is a big game; but I will have many more big games this year to year on my Cougs.

JD is one more example of recruiting "stars" meaning nothing. He has had such a positive impact on this team. He is tough and tenacious. Everytime he fields a punt, I cheer, hoping and believing, this will be the next one he returns for a TD. Keep up the great work JD, and Go Cougs!

I saw the other day that if you did something or another for one of the advertizers that you could get a football signed by a Cougar football player. I asked my wife who she would like to sign a football if she won it. She didn't know who she would like and she is a Y fan. But I told her I had one guy over all the others I would want to have and it's J.D. Falslev. That boy is wound tighter and more compact than a Swiss watch on steroids. He is a competitor, hyper and a gentleman and all at the same time. I am glad he is on our team because I wouldn't want to face a team with him on it. Glad to see they gave him some running options...I am sure opposing coaches aren't.

Really Mr. 54 going on 10?

With the state of the Utah offense, let's hope he tries to catch another kick off with his face just like last year. That was a sweet fumble that Utah recovered on the 5 yard line.
