"ZERO Quarterbacks that he's recruited and developed go to the NFL."

False. Check the NFL rosters again.

"Whittingham and BJ have a tough decision, which QB to start"

It shouldn't be a tough decision, ride Wynn's shoulder as far as you can and hope it buys enough time for Wilson to get a little more development and better grasp of the offense before he has to take over. Keep Hays as your 3rd string emergency backup in case Wilson struggles and starts to lose his confidence.

Your best bet for a winning conference record is if Wynn stays healthy. If he goes down and you have to turn to the freshman you can figure to lose some games you would've won with Wynn. Good luck with this and with every other position group set with good starters and depth this is the one area that could still sink the boat.

"Whit is one of the best in the nation at getting the most out of his team."

Except at the QB position. The only thing he knows to do is move them to other positions and not recruit or develop adequate backups.

Whitt is horrible at developing QB's and since he's been Head Coach he has ZERO Quarterbacks that he's recruited and developed go to the NFL. He's great with other positions but stinks with the most important position on the team, just look at how he botched the QB position last year. His gross mishandling of recruiting the position and developing adequate depth cost Utah a shot at playing in the inaugural Pac 12 Conference Championship game in their first year and a possible shot at playing in the Rose Bowl.

Now USC is off their probation and no longer ineligible and is much improved over last year and starting next year you no longer get the cream puff conference schedule and have to start playing Oregon and Stanford too. Last year was your shot and he screwed it up for you .

It's looking more and more like Wynn's football career is over.

Taking days off during fall camp because of a "sore shoulder" - especially after Utah did everything they could to mislead the public about Wynn's health last year - doesn't bode well for Jordan.

And I will apologize for 54-10, Naval Vet, Williary, JohninSLC, Hedgehog, and to be honest with you far to many so called Utah fans to even count. They are an embarrassment to us all.

I certainly have a 'man crush' for you too.

You're a close runner-up for Chris B but I wouldn't classify you as the same. Thanks for the positive feedback though. I'd expect nothing less. It's nice that you expect my input from time to time.

I'm here for the duration as well as Duckhunter recently stated. I'm sure he appreciates your 'crush' as much as I do.

    Now back to this story...

I wonder if we can expect some more subterfuge on this topic in the future. I surely enjoyed all the lying, coverup, and drama from last season on Wynn's shoulder.

Maybe I should start a Twitter or Tumblr account and title it 'Wynn's Shoulder' for this season. I bet I'd get a few 1000 followers.

The Utes would be better off just forgetting about Wynn and starting their obvious QB of the future, Wilson.

No apology necessary for SammyG and Duckhunter; they simply speak the truth, as hard as that may be for the kids on the hill to accept.

We will all apologize for Chris B., but who will apologize for SammyG and Duckhunter?

Whittingham and BJ have a tough decision, which QB to start:

    1. an experienced, but injury-prone Junior
    2. an experienced backup that is still viewed as a stop-gap D-II transfer
    3. an unproven rookie with seemingly great up side

In the end, I think Wynn will get the start, but if he struggles or goes down with an injury, things could get very dicey for Utah, especially if the Utes are forced to change quarterbacks the week before a big game like BYU or USC.

On behalf of Ute Nation, I sincerely apologize for Chris B. Let it be known that he does not represent the majority of our fan base, and that I actually cheer for BYU (when they're not playing Utah, of course).

In return, I'll make every effort to ignore the BYU trolls.

Looking for big things out of you this year Wynn!
Stay healthy and pile up those TDs.

You ever read Chris B. on BYU articles? Let me rephrase:

"Do any of you Ute fans ever have anything positive to say? You sit there and bash on the Y, but in reality all you are doing is making your school look bad."

Not as much as BYU, but I've always liked the utes. This guy makes it difficult.

Do any of you BYU fans ever have anything positive to say? You sit there and bash on the U, but in reality all you are doing is making your school look bad.

    On the story:
This is irrelevant. The headline should read "Whittingham maintains consistency and says exactly the same thing he says in every interview."

We'll know more after the scrimmage highlights are posted.

    Go Utes!

@Chris B - I know it's your Shtick but if Utah brings it's C game and BYU brings it's A or B game, Utah will almost certainly get beat.

@sammyg - Wynn is throwing with a lot more velocity than last year and has no throw count in camp. He's healthy. The issue is how long does he STAY healthy.

@Worf - Tongue-in-cheek comments I take it? If not I'd say don't get too caught up in all the quarterback hype. This time of year we'll always get 90% positive hype about our football teams versus the 10% negative. The reality is our 1 and 2 QBs are the same guys from last year ... more experience, better health, but the same guys. Our #3 is a true freshman playing in the Pac 12, not the MWC. As for anything less than a BCS bowl being a disappointment ... again, I hope you're joking. I'm always hoping for that, but USC, Oregon, Stanford and Washington certainly won't be rolling over for us ... not to mention Colorado.

@J.W. - I'd rather have a losing Pac 12 record than be Independent.

Nah Worf, Ute fans are happy with a losing pac record.

One good quarterback is worth ten good players at other positions, and the utes are loaded with qb's and defensive linemen. WooW!

Anything less then a pac championship and BCS bowl will be a major disappointment.

Well there's your first clue Ute fans, the next story will be that Wynn's shoulder is NOT as ready as everyone had hoped. Prepare yourselves.

    Sound familiar?

Talk big chrissy. You have just 1 month left.

Elite pac12 QB ? Jordan Wynn ? hahahahaha

  • Chris B Salt Lake City, UT

Whit is one of the best in the nation at getting the most out of his team. This is his way of pushing Wynn from average pac12 qb to elite pac12 qb. First three games will be a breeze as Wynn gets back in the swing of things. I think the defense gives up a combined 24 points first three games. We will need a B game to beat Utah state and a c- to beat byu.
