I'm alright with Romney not releasing any further tax returns. The voters should be the ones to decide how important him non-disclosures are in making up their minds about him.

    Here's a few of Romney's ideas:

    * Corporate taxes of thirty five percent have driven companies to other countries. Romney will bring it down to twenty five percent which will entice some, or most companies to come back and create jobs.

    * Lowering regulations and taxes on small business will allow more hiring.

    * signing an oil pipeline deal with Canada will create up to 600,000 jobs, and lower gas prices. These figures came from a Canadian newspaper. They also need workers. Currently China is buying their oil, and it could be too late for us to deal. Much of the oil is being trucked to the Gulf of Mexico here in Texas, then shipped to China.

Romney has not been secretive of his plans, but the media has distracted attention with the tax returns, racism, being a rich man, etc.

Obama's birth certificate, Romney's taxes. Obama released his birth certificate and accomplished nothing other to have a renegade sheriff in Arizona claim it a forgery. When are we as a nation going to set aside petty partisan politics and focus on real issues like paying down the national debt. How about a return to the days when Dems and Repubs set aside partisan politics for the common good. In todays political climate even shaking hands with a member of the other party is tantamount to political suicide. I could care less about Romney's taxes or Obama's birthplace or religion. What I care about this country and political parties are slowly destroying it. It's enough to make you want to vote for a third party candidate.

Apparently you didn't read my post very carefully, I said Mr. Romney is under no legal obligation to disclose his tax returns. Its not a legal decision, its a political decision and one he should consider unless he has something to hide.

Worf to you and the majority of the rest of the far righters on this board, could you give me a reason to vote for Mr. Romney? It seems that the best that the Romney supporters can do is tell us all why we shouldn't vote for President Obama. As I have said before, I didn't vote for Mr. Obama the first time, and I would like in this election to vote for someone, not vote against someone. So far I find more questions than answers from Mr. Romney.

Obama just came up with an idea. Loan South Africa two billion dollars. Hmm? Out sourcing?

Will some of you Obama supporters please explain this?

Yep! Billions already sent to Finland, Mexico, Brazil, China, Japan, Australia, Pakistan, Muslim Brotherhood, plus many others

How is Obama going to cut the deficit in half? Where's the six trillion added to the debt in the past four years, and the stimulus money? Where's the money? That could have provided the healthcare funding.

Romneys tax returns? The least of our concerns.

Why would anyone defend a tax cheat unless they are a tax cheat and crook themself; or an attorney being paid to do a job. In Romney's case there is no need for neither; he just needs to show his tax returns as any honorable candidate for POTUS is expected to do. Romney should choose the right and show the American voters his tax. It is time for Romney to man up so America can make an informed choice for who the people want for POTUS..

    To: There You Go Again:

Do you have some inside info on why John McCain picked Palin? Or are you speculating?

For example. John McCain could have picked many people to be his VP. Such as Romney, Huckabee, Thompson, Hunter, Gulianni and others. He choose Palin. Did you notice that Senator McCain picked no challenger? Why? Maybe because John McCain is a very passionate Type A personality. Functioning with another strong Type A personality may not have fit for him? You see there are other options.

John McCain didn't pick any of the others. Are we to assume by your analogy that Guilianni, Thompson and Huckabee cheated on their taxes too so he decided against them as well? Hmmm, No!

John McCain didn't pick Joseph Liebermann(CN-I/D)his best friend in the Senate. Did Senator Liebermann cheat on his taxes? Then again he didn't choose you or me either! See where I am going with that.

I appreciate your point but the fact remains plenty of Romney info is out there and Harry Reid used his position to attack an American Citizen! Getting away with this cheap attack could lead Harry Reid to attack anyone!

The shame of it all is that how Romney is cheating America by not paying his fair share of taxes is also being done by others of the super rich and that is why they are covering up for Romney, because they are guilty too. The middle class Americans are having to pay more taxes so Romney and other super rich can exploited the poor and avoid paying a honest tax. The one good thing Romney can do for Americans is to show his tax returns so Americans can see how they are being cheated and vote to put an end to it.

Thank you for responding to my comment.

    "...So your saying...".

Sorry about your difficulty with reading comprehension.

When Michelle Bachman, stops lying, Democrats will stop.

Twist and distort that simple sentence any way you choose....

I too have a list of at least 200 comments (a list growing larger each day) that one Mitt Romney has said that are outright lies or could be construed as a lie.

But let's get back to the facts of the election.

John McCain looked at 23 years of Romney's tax returns...

and picked Sara Palin as VP.

2008 Republican Presidential Nominee John McCain, choose Sarah Palin over an expert in job creation, immigration, healthcare, and foreign policy.

    What's Romney hiding?

    To:There You GO Again:

So your saying it is okay to lie because you think someone else is lying? And it's okay to do that until the other person stops? Sounds ethical to me! Not!

I have a list of at least 100 comments that one Barack Obama has said that are outright lies or could be construed as a lie!

But lets get back to the facts of the election.

    1. 8.3% Unemployment!
    2. 47.2 Million on Food Stamps.
    3. 50 Million Americans Living in Poverty!
    4. 1.2 Trillion in added debt this year.
    5. 5.6 trillion in debt added so far during Obama's term.
    6. 16 Trillion in Debt!
    7. Loss of AAA Bond rating!
    8. Building inflation fears!
    9. 7 States with over 40% of Democrats voting against Obama in the Democrat Primary!
    10. 20 % of ALL DEMOCRATS voting AGAINST OBAMA in the Primaries!

Note: Vice President Biden say " The United States is in Recession(ABC News 6/27/12)".

Woman and Children Hungry Across America!

People desperate at many highway exits and street corners!

How Bad Does it have to Get Before you Vote Against Obama?

    25 Million Unemployed!

    3 grandslams,

So you would agree that the republicans should drop their battle to see President Obama's birth certificate, social security records, college transcripts, etc. etc. Don't you think it is a little dis-indigenous to complain about this when the previous President has spent the last 4 years having constant attacks from the republicans with no proof.

I really thought Mr. Romney did a great job with the Olympics, and I would really like him to step up and give me a reason that vote for him, other than he is not President Obama. Showing his tax records even though he isn't required to by law, would show that he has nothing to hide and is not afraid of a challenge.

Lets be honest there is no reason not to show them unless there is something he doesn't want people to see. Not saying illegal just something he doesn't want people to see. We all know he is extremely wealthy that is not a revelation, but it is easy to assume there is something there he does not want people to see, and that is problematic.

    Aug. 5, 2012 4:34 p.m.

Obama is one of the least transparent Presidents we have had.

Where are his records from Occidental College and from Columbia and Harvard graduate schools? The missing thesis? the missing Illinois legislative records? even his high school transcripts? his selective service record? What about the multiple social security cards, the lack of signed articles when he edited the Harvard Law Review, where are his passport records.

I lost respect for Reid a long time ago. This doesn't surprise me a bit.

Ok, for those of you consumed by the Harry Reid Lie. Lets look at the facts:

    Available Documents on Mitt Romney:

    2010, 20111 Tax Forms

    2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 Massachusetts Disclosres and Statements of Interest forms.

    2007, 2010, 2011 Federal Disclosures.

Romney Holdings were held in a BLIND TRUST during these periods per law and are regulated.

As CEO of Bain, all Romney Tax Returns, Bain Filings, and Security and Exchange Reports are available. During the existance of Bain Capital regular investigations have been done of Romney as a CEO and as Owner of Bain and of Bain Investments. This included Bain's roll with each and every single company Bain had any dealings with whatsoever!

Now Why did Harry Reid bring this line up?

    1. Reid has played low ball lie ball before.

    2. Reid is a Democrat and the Democrats man is in trouble here.

    3. Reid knows the vast portion of the Media will follow his lead.

    4. Reid knows most Democrats won't look into the ACTUAL FACTS! Being led by a nose ring!

Reminder: Harry Reid has never released one tax return in 26 years in the Senate is a Multi-millionaire.How?

2010, 2011 Tax info and 500 pages of additional disclosures.

This is one of the dirtiest tricks in politcs, in fact incredibly unethical. If Reid has proof he should show it, he is the one who's made the accusation. It is desperate to make a claim that has no proof (even Reid admits it might not be true) and then expect the accused to prove it false.

I won't be jealous of Romneys wealth especially when he's campaigning against a fellow millionaire.

Politics as usual - Obama's citizenship; Romney's taxes; etc. etc. etc. When are we ever going to get a candidate / president that REALLY cares about doing what is right rather than his own legacy.

This whole campaign is a joke.

  • Fred44 Salt Lake City, Utah

Simple solution, Mr. Romney can prove him wrong by releasing his taxes, and making him look like the fool that you all claim he is. If it was good for Mr. Romney's father I say it should be good for Mr. Romney.
