I respect the team and Coach Anderson. Not the fan's and that won't change after the way they treated us the last time we played them. And every year in basketball. They proved juvinille and I thought until then they were better. It's like I said Sambone. I don't have a problem with the players and coaches. Just fan's like you. Same level of competition. I love how you say no disrespect from one fan to another yet you always disrepsect me. Yes I am a real fan Sambonethegreat.

    @ Pasta

Thanks for the nice comment. I never had a problem with SUU (until Stang showed up- it's just him), and I will give them credit where credit is due. They are definitely on the up. SUU better come prepared on August 30th though because the Aggies are certainly no UNLV. Tell that to Stang, please.

No disrespect from one fan to another.

Samebonethegreat, don't let those comments get you worked up. I'll give props to USU, I think they are on the up, as is SUU. SUU wants to beat you for sure, but we respect you too. I respect you for keeping your cool in light of the comments made by stang. Good luck, wishing you the best, but wanting you to beat the Aggies:)

Fared poorly is an understatement. It's never even a contest.

Allow me to re-phrase the last part: UNLV stinks period. Don't compare them to us (in fact, don't compare UNLV to any football team for that matter). See? We do have a common foe.

I am willing to grant that USU has fared poorly against the Utes and the Cougars over the last 20 years, but this is part of the reason why USU football is becoming awesome again. The program has improved tremendously and the Aggies are now competitive with tougher teams. They didn't do half bad against Oklahoma and Auburn considering nobody thought they had a chance. Also, the route of the program clearly harkens back to the days where USU used to regularly beat the Utes and the Cougs.

It is great that you have a zeal for SUU the same way I do for USU.

It was implied Sambonethegreat. I admit it definently should have been better. SUU is the same way. We have gotten better and will continue doing so with coach Lamb. Really? No one remembers the Olsen days. And USU still stinks period. Comparing them to BYU, Utah, Wisconsin, Auburn, Oklahoma, etc. USU is pretty bad. Again SUU is better than you think and you fan's and your team will soon realize this.

    @ Stang08

Your facts are completely off. First of all, the Aggies had a rich football heritage prior to 1967 with all-Americans such as the brothers Phil and Merlin Olsen. In fact, the Aggies were in the top ten in 1961. Also, they won their bowl game against Ball State in 1993, and you expect me to believe that they had their first winning season ever last year? Please do some research.

I didn't say the Thunderbirds are bad, but they have some ways to go before they can be considered a great FCS team. Their conference record last year wasn't good. The USU program has turned the corner and it is only going to become better. And to be fair to SUU, they are improving as well. Gary Andersen has poured his heart and soul into the USU football program and his hard work is finally paying some dividends. He is a solid coach with solid recruits at his disposal, and he has helped rekindle the rabid fan base for the program.

By the way, UNLV stinks period. Don't compare them to us (or any football team for that matter).

We improve every year. Since Lamb has come here our expectation's have risen. Which is more than we can say when Anderson was here. Two 6-5 season's when you only have 11 games isn't bad. You guys wish you had that kind of season. It's our first year in a bigger conference so we might no do well. But we have beaten BigSky teams. USU had their first winning season EVER last year so yes I was wrong about that. They didn't win their first bowl game and I said they wouldn't. Thunderbrids are better than you think. But I hope your team thinks the same way you do. Then we can destroy them like we did UNLV. Who is exactly the same level USU is. You'll realize we have a football team when we come to town Blue. I love how arrogant you aggies are.

This is gonna be fun. I can't wait to see SUU in the BigSky this year. The rivalry we will develop with Weber St is just awsome. And I hope I truely hope the first win of the season comes when we go up to Logan. That is a team that I want to see lose to us badly.
