Do Republicans do that to Obama? All the time. Does it get on the news? All the time. Does Obama get hammered for any misstep he makes? All the time. Obama, unlike Romney, has the guts to not avoid his detractors (both people AND the media, or dn't you remember his appearing on O'Reilley's show?). Romney just runs away from them.

"Do republicans do this to Obama?"

He was just heckled in the Rose Garden. Armed protesters have shown up at his appearances. And what about Rep. Joe "You lie!" Wilson?

Does this happen to Obama? You bet it does.

furry: it's a media distraction. Do republicans do this to Obama? And if they did would they even get on the news? Republican candidates have to put a lot more care into their appearances because they know the press will hammer any mistep.

If Mr. Romney can't handle the heat of confrontation in an election campaign, why would any prospective voter think he could handle the job of POTUS? This certainly helps to bolster the impression that the GOP has (will make it official soon) backed a very weak candidate.

In other words, Romney doen't have the guts to isten to anyone who doesn't agree with him. Hey, Romney -- the President (the ofice you're running for) is supposed to be the president of ALL the people in the United States, not just the top 1%. I don't like Obama, but Romney would be infinitely worse -- he's said he would take us back to the Bush policies and programs, and that's what got us in this mess in the first place. No, thanks, Romney -- don't need you, don't want you.

Who's free speech was violated? No one was threatened with jail.

Liberals believe in free speech as long as it's their free speech. De facto censorship by disruption is their weapon. The voice of the people must be heard, unless it disagrees with them. The Bolsheviks would have loved it.

People in the rust belt of Pennsylvania and other states need only to look to Wisconsin instead of the Democratic Party for their road to economic prosperity!

He isn't really on the bus tour, is he? Flying between gigs? Like everything else with Romney, what you see ain't what you get.
