i agree that the wear and tear gets player older faster...but...with their mentality...they want to be the best...they want to improve...im sure they will get some RnR...but im sure..once they get a few weeks off...they will hit it in the Gym...so why not against the top players in the NBA...they may get some pointers from them as well

I am all for USA ball that is when KD started becoming a leader. It also would help them develop there skills. We need a second Team CPT for the Jazz behind Milsap. I would love to see one of these guys become a leader on the floor. Burks and Kanter do need Summer league to see what they can do and get more floor time. Kanter barely even played in the second half of the season. I would love to see Burks become a PG he has the skills to be able to do it and would not be surprised if it happend.

Young or not, wear and tear gets players older faster. Look at all the injuries with young players during this condensed schedule we had this year. There should have been 50 games not 66 games. Hayward played huge minutes this season. Now the Jazz want him to play summer camp.

I know Hayward and Favors are young and missed camp due to the late lockout resolve. Still, they are past summer league level. Burks and Kanter do need summer league.

I don't get all patriotic over USA basketball and I hope Favors and Hayward don't play.

WOW...I'm impressed...What a great honor to be chosen for the USA BB Olympic team. These are young players and I think they bounce back better than the older players. I think this summer they should play Olympic BB for the USA. They can be Jazz players at camp and during the full season.

    @ Jazz Source
From a Jazz fan point of view, you are probably right, although I would guess Hayward has the system down as much as anyone outside of the coaches. He definitely could use work at small forward, though, and the summer league would be good for that.
From an NBA fan point of view, I would love to see Lebron try and dunk on Favors and see how much Hayward would get under Dwayne Wade's skin defensively.

They may deserve to play against the best players but they need practice in JAZZ camp learning the Jazz system.

Sure it would be a good experience to play against the best but these guys are already behind where they should be after missing last years summer league.

As a Jazz fan, I am not particularly sympathetic to the fact that Lebron and Dwayne need someone to beat up on during their USA practices.

It's important that Kanter and Burks play on the Jazz summer league team. Hayward and Favors deserve the opportunity to play against the best players in the league. It should prove good for their developing games, too.

Hayward played huge minutes in a condensed season this year. The Jazz expect him to be in summer league. Now the USA Select Team comes calling. I hope Hayward says no. The wear and tear on the body in the NBA season already shortens careers.

The summer should be rest and recovery for starters and major contributers. I understand young players needing more court time. It's just Hayward is a big minute guy now.

Burks could use summer league. So could Kanter. I believe Favors and Hayward need rest.
