    If America abandons it's founding values and becomes like atheist, socialist Europe then America will follow Europe into social, and economic bankruptcy and collapse. Gay marriage is opposed by over 33 states in the union - each having amended their constitution to protect traditional marriage. Are all these people haters and bigots or is there something much deeper at play here that you NEVER here from the main stream media? Barack Obama is a man without principle. The man will do ANYTHING to retain power. ANYTHING. I can't imagine another 4 nightmarish years with this man in the White House. The US is deeply divided and there is no line of compromise - it is either become like Europe and lose our constitution , our freedom and our future or FIGHT! Time to FIGHT. I don't want my children or grandchildren to live in Barack Obama's America!!!

    The outcome of the battle over marriage is clear. There is no justifiable reason to prevent everyone from marrying the person they love, regardless of gender. Most younger people recognize this, and as the older generation dies out, this will be accepted by more and more people. Eventually, it will even come to Utah, as people recognize that there is no problem here. Marriage is such a great good for the society, that it should be shared with all.

    Our country has undergone a great struggle to live up to the ideals of its founders. Our history is one of hard-fought but continuous expansion of freedom. First, we gave white males who have no landholdings the vote, then we freed the slaves. We gave them the vote, but it took a century for their voting rights to be protected. Women were finally given the vote, and eventually the right of all to marry their choice of a partner of the opposite sex, regardless of race (a scientifically invalid concept, by the way) was recognized. Each step of the way, many churches have held back the march of liberty. Many are still holding back, but they will not succeed.

    Yep, attitudes and values evolve. Now it's ok to:

    * lie
    * cheat on spouses
    * have same sex marriage. Our president says it's ok!
    * put bounties on football players
    * electing corrupt leaders.
    * giving guns to cartels
    * leaders wasting money for personal use.
    * spend money you don't have
    * giving American tax money to the Muslim brotherhood.
    * entitlement for things without earning it.

    Wow! Some people see this as an improvement.

    Attitudes continue to evolve and change with the times. This is nothing new. Not too long ago it was illegal for people of African descent to marry people of European descent. As we recognize the value in others and honor their rights as Americans, we will eventually make the right decisions for the nation.

    Things change, and if it leaves religion becoming less relevant so be it.
