World workers express anger, gloom on May Day

    This reaction is the result of two factors. There probably isn't a very bright future for most of the people involved who have few career options. Secondly, they have repeatedly been told that they are the working class, peasants, the proletariat and they have no influence on their future, only the government can provide for them. Personal initiative and effort has been minimized and they have evolved into a culture of dependence. The "working class" in Eastern Europe and Russia who want to restore the total dominance of a communist government are stark examples. The US should take note.
