Having lived in the Monroe, Louisiana and San Antonio, Texas areas and noticing
that USAA employees, some US Military member spouses and families listened to a
Republican candidate for President of the United States, that they understood
that Santorum was Only Joking when he said that they should vote for Obama.
That is not the type of individual we need for a President. We have more
important things to do as a Republican Party than deride our own candidates.
That was uncalled for and especially since Romney was not even the person that
made the etch-a-sketch statement and it was taken out of context. The President
is over all the military forces and deals with our international friends and
foes. He needs to think about the words that come out of his mouth when in the
middle of the battle, even if this is not with actual weapons. His remarks,
however, are becoming more blatant and without a good public affairs person, it
would appear. At least President Obama, if Santorum wins, will have at his
disposal the most proficient public relations people available to chomp on
Senator Santorum with those types of statements.
stepped back? interesting turn of a phrase.
Santorum was already toast before he made that comment. It was his mouth that
cost him the GOP presidential nomination.
