This is an age-old problem, quotes out of context, that the journalism industry hasn't shown much interest in solving. Context is 99% of what is being communicated. Only in seemingly rare journalism, do you get most of the context. Frankly, who really trusts journalism anymore?

By The full context of her quote it is absolutely obvious that she's stating that money doesn't factor into what she considers to be true wealth. This is a beautiful and rare thing. Further her point is only strengthened by the fact that she is financially wealthy--she's saying that despite her fortune they don't factor into her self-image.

Would that more candidates and their wives had "gaffes" (as if) like this, that exposed their hearts and showed us all just how genuine and angelic they were...

The media only exposes its sleezy muckraking crass perverse bias by not employing an ounce of brainpower to see the deeper meaning here. This story exposes the obvious media fed lie that has been orchestrated by politically motivated opponents about how Romney cannot relate because he's wealthy. It is exposes their agenda of class warfare at its most obvious.
