    Re: homebrew

"we need to convince Saudi Arabia...."

"we need to get off of the oil"

    "the GOP is done"

Do you even live in todays real world?

    Anti-American?

How would you even quantify that?

    As another poster has mentioned...

is it, building a nuclear reactor?

Stoping the worst oil spill in US history? (BP)

The 'anti-' rhetoric is getting pretty sad.

    Obama is anti-American.
    Obama's faith is in question.
    Obama theology.

How about what Obama has DONE?

    How 'anti-American' is it...

to give the order to kill Osama Bin Laden?

Gas prices hit an all time high of $ 4.11 in mid 2008. George Bush was president. It fell to around $2.75 when Obama took office in 2009. With the unrest in Iran we may be in for a bumpy ride on gas prices. We need to convince Saudi Arabia to produce more to keep the price down. At least Obama is trying to invest in Battery powered vehicles and alternative energy. We need to get off of the oil.Gingrich is grasping at straws. He is done. So is the rest of the GOP.

And "YOU THOUGHT" Congress makes the law's, when bureaucrats do as they please. On February 17, 2012, EPA released an evaluation of information submitted by the Renewable Fuels Association and Growth Energy for satisfying the emissions and health effects data requirements for registration of E15. It's already being added to our fuel. In response to a request by Growth Energy and 54 ethanol manufacturers under the Clean Air Act, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted two partial waivers that taken together allow but do not require the introduction into commerce of gasoline that contains greater than 10 volume percent (vol%) ethanol and up to 15 vol% ethanol (E15) for use in model year (MY) 2001 and newer light-duty motor vehicles, subject to certain conditions. What Vehicles and Engines May Not Use E15?
    All motorcycles
All vehicles with heavy-duty engines, such as school buses, transit buses, and delivery trucks
All off-road vehicles, such as boats and snowmobiles
All engines in off-road equipment, such as lawnmowers and chain saws
All MY2000 and older cars, light-duty trucks, and medium-duty passenger vehicles (SUVs)

I will give President Obama credit for agreeing to let new nuclear power plants be built in the U.S. Something that hasn't been done since the '70s. I'm sure that decision really made the environmental left mad. But he and many on his side are shortsighted if they think the world is anywhere near getting off of liquid petroleum. This so called green energy is no where near developed enough for a massive change. That will take decades. It is fine to look to the future, but our national security might depend upon having oil available right now. If some huge mess happens in the Persian Gulf, oil supply could be greatly reduced worldwide and prices will skyrocket. We might need to get to our own supplies quickly. That can't happen if we don't "drill baby drill" and build pipelines.

Obama's energy policy is Solyndra. The costs of energy for the rest of us are the consequences! Enjoying "hope and change" much?
