You just don't get it do you?

Haha! you're funny dude! Watch I can do it to: change the venue for Portland, SDC, and Idaho St and Utah gets demolished.

See if you can spin this:

If BYU is such a garbage team, then what does that say about the Utes who lost to them by 20 at the HC?

@striker "USU is garbage this year. They are not a good team."

yeah thats why a garbage team like byu lost to them. point proved. byu is garbage. yeah yeah "the spectrum is one of the toughest places to play"... not according to a few teams that went in there and beat usu handedly. gget over yourselves. everyone saw you get absolutely exposed on national television against st. marys and st marys cant even compete with the east coast teams. thats sad. you were lucky to have played baylor at home or you woulda got demolished on a neutral site or their home court.

When BYU beats both St. Mary's and Gonzaga at home, few people will be saying they are the third place team in the conference.

"ever good team it plays(see Wisconsin, Utah State, Baylor)."
USU is garbage this year. They are not a good team. They also led Baylor for much of the game. This team is still good with the best coach in the state, bar none.

agb - I'm a fan of both teams. You're going after the wrong guy.

History says that when BYU gets a 8 or lower seed they lose in the first round. History also says that the committee will keep teams in their own region if they are one of the top seeds from their own league. I'm just pointing out how important it is for BYU not to stumble much with the remaining schedule if they want a chance to go beyond the first round in the tournament.

Thanks once again to Cougar fans for making Utah basketball a priority. Utah appreciates your support.
And yet here you are posting on a BYU article.

An 8 seed or lower would have BYU one and done again. If they are the third team out of the WCC the committee will make them travel.

@Chris B - I marked down your prediction for the Armed Forces Bowl like you asked me to, and now I'm looking for a big eraser. Since 26 of your last 27 predictions have been wrong, I'm going to have to turn to someone else for advice. (Notice I gave you credit for the Utah vs BYU FB game.)

I'm afraid your prediction of WCC being a 2 team conference will put you at 27 of 28.

Assuming no significant injuries on their teams; Cougs, Zags and Gaels will all be dancing in March. All three are solid teams, whose only loses in conference play should be to each other.

    Chris B:

According to Lunardi the WCC is a 3 bid conference and the PAC is a 2 bid conference.

Not like it matters to U. 3-25 won't get you in.

Even though this will be your 5th losing season in 7 years, who knows it could be 1998 next year.

Hang in there lil band of transfers.

Wow, I actually can't believe I'm going to agree with Chris B on something. But, my opinion on this is actually based on, you know, historical evidence. Not just hatred.

WCC will get just 2 teams. I know they are projected to get 3, but often the MWC was projected with 3 or 4 teams at this point in the year. Then, come tournament time, somebody was left out. Or they had faded because of losses to awful teams like TCU or Wyoming. Or perhaps an upset in an eastern conference led to some other team getting the at large berth over an equally deserving (or more deserving in many cases) MWC team.

I know right now Sagarin and other ratings have the three top WCC teams ranked high. But just watch. Come tournament time, somebody will be left out.

    RE: Chris B.

"The WCC is a 2 team conference."

That is, unless, you talk to an actual expert... Perhaps ESPN's Joe Lunardi, who many consider to be THE expert when it comes to tournament seedings. Right now he has three WCC teams dancing. That may be generous, but so is listing two Pac 12 teams. I had to smile when I saw that this weeks bracketology had the Pac with fewer teams listed than the WCC, MWC, CUSA, Missouri Valley, and Atlantic 10 conferences. They did have as many as Ohio Valley and MAAC, so they should be feeling pretty good about things right now.

"The WCC is a 2 team conference."

Obviously, you've got your west coast conferences mixed up.

    Latest Sagarin

    THE West Coast Conference
    #16 Saint Mary's
    #21 Gonzaga
    #33 BYU

Anybody with any basketball sense at all can clearly see that the WCC is at least a 3 team conference.

    the other west coast conference
    #20 California
    #39 Stanford
    #322 Utah

The PAC 12 could easily be a one-bid conference.

Did anybody even notice that that other SL newspaper didn't even bother covering Utah's PAC 12 basketball debut against their new rival?

At 9th seed would be a great accomplishment for a team replacing Jimmer and Jackson with NINE Freshmen.

The WCC is a 2 team conference.

It's kind of like football, byu basketball beats the nobodies(and yes, Utah is a nobody right now) and loses to each and ever good team it plays(see Wisconsin, Utah State, Baylor).

You can't go to the dance with 0 good wins.

Maybe they'll win the WCC tournament? I mean, they won the MWC tournament a lot right?

What post-season tournament are the utes slated for?

For a rebuilding year where we are essentially playing freshmen gaurds, I'll take a #9 seed. I suspect it might end up lower, but we'll be in. All Coug fans should remember that we get Rogers back this week.
