Things must be slow again on the aggie-blue boards. No Ute "trolls" for you to call out so you've got to troll here.

I guess you figure the Y indy plan of playing a mid-major bowl game, in a one-third smaller stadium where there are fewer tickets to give away, on cable TV instead of network air, is the way to go. And the once-in-a-lifetime trip to Downtown Dallas must be an irresistible draw for all the local coug fans from the Podunk, Texas ward.

It's good that your school and its fans know their limitations.

Funny that you want to play "Let's Compare". The Y went 1-3 against bowl teams. For the rest of your schedule, they went 8-0 against non-bowl teams that had a combined record of, gulp, 29-68. Utah went 3-3 against bowl teams and 4-2 against non-bowl teams that were a combined 34-39.

Maybe it's your cougs that should win their mid-major bowl game before you try to roast the Utes and the Pac-12 with your selective spin, huh?

    @ 2BCSWINS

That's laughable that you would point to the WAC record on bowl wins this year when the "conference of champions" (PAC 12) is winless itself right now.

You ought to look up the definition of irony in the dictionary and expect to see a photo of Whittingham next to it. After all, wasn't Utah given a preferred path to the Rose Bowl? Remind us who is really going (start's with an "O") and who they defeated from the Southern Division (doesn't start with a "U").

Check in again after the bowls are over and we'll see how the PAC 10.2 fared. I'd personally be surprised if they are over .500.

I'd also be surprised to have Utah admit that their mighy 54 - 10 victory wasn't equal to winning a national championship, although for them that's about as close as they'll get to winning one.

Cougies, sorry to break the news to you. A texas win over cal, and trying to hide behind colorado beating the utes when you didnt. Does not erase a 44 point embarrassment on your home feild.

Also let me remind you the WAC is 0 - 3 in bowl games. So when you want bring up the PAC 12 bowl games. Remind yourself the conference the majority of your wins (6) came against is not looking to good right now!

    @ StGtoSLC

You're right, using Ute logic like that is pathetic.

Oh, the irony of it all (sarcasm). 54 - 10 will live in infamy on the hill, just like 1984 does in Provo. Tell us, however, did you get a trophy for the anomoly on Sept 17th and did anyone on a national scale even notice?

Go back to sleep and dream about pre-Colorado and the "Rose Bowl." When you wake up, you can buy Rose Bowl tickets on-line from Oregon.

So typical relying on a networking of other teams' scores to try and turn back the clock and change the outcome of your "bowl" in Provo.

    @ Rock

Well, let's try a little ute-type spin, shall we?

Cal lost to Texas when UT doubled their score, to which BYU lost by a single point in Austin; Utah was humiliated by Cal. So that shows the Sept 17th game really was an anomoly. Which Bowl is Colorado playing? Oh, they played their bowl in SLC----I'm sure you remember that it was more critical than the Utah-BYU game to the Utes fortunes and Utah did so well the first half that their OC resigned to go coach in Hawaii, a long-time WAC school.

Let's see if Utah can win their bowl before you roast the Cougars too much. The PAC 12 is looking pretty weak in Bowl games right now and they could end up with a very embarrassing record by the time the true NC is decided. Oregon and Standford, as well as Utah, could all lose and Washington likely will as well. Cal and ASU have both lost by double their teams scores----so no need to waste New Year's Eve afternoon watching the Utes.

So we'll see, I guess, by reading the newspaper after the event is over.

Ah, how cute the kittens are out again trying in any way their overmatched minds can. It' kind of cute in a desperate differently challenged kind of way. Keep striving little Cougs.

Judging by the way ASU got manhandled by Boise and the fact that Cal is probably going to lose to Texas, I'd say the PAC 12 is desperate for wins. Utah better give a good showing. People are going to start thinking that maybe this isn't the conference of champions.

I see the typical pathetic comments from the Kougs have made their way here.

@ Johnny Triumph: You seem to be interested enough in the game to make comments so I doubt it will be too boring for you.

The El Paso Times article is interesting. Giving away 5,000 - 10,000 tickets is an interesting way to try to "sell out" a stadium. My question is, if you don't sell the tickets, is it a sell out?

Good luck to the Utes and the fans who make the trip to El Paso. As you're driving through Albuquerque on the way to El Paso, you're probably wishing you were in the New Mexico Bowl.

    P.S. Don't drink the water.

This will be ONE boring football game! The Utes will struggle against a bad GT team.
