Sooooo, what did this win do for the Y's season?

Same Copter Bowl from the very first loss of the season, nothings changed.

Hope the team enjoyed the shaved ice at Matsumotos.

I'm glad for the win, but why does Bronco wait until halftime to make adjustments? Those adjustments should be made in the first quarter, not the third. And I wonder sometimes if Bronco is capable of outsmarting an opposing coach. Knowing that Hawaii is going to pass, and pass, and pass, why play off and give up short throw after short throw? Hawaii is not Oklahoma State, rush, blitz and press--at the opening gun, not late in the third quarter. Come on, do the unexpected, stop playing to the opposing team's strength, take that strength away.

Sorry, but the grade for the defense was too low, and the grade for special teams was too high, due to on-going problems with the kicking game. The defense changed the momentum and took control in what could have been a very close game. The defense deserves higher than a B+ for this win.

SOme have suggested it was too soon to start Nelson. The injury he had tends to heal quickly, but maybe not in 3 weeks. Still the doctors are the only ones who really know and their decision seems to have been good.

It was good to see the Defense make the difference as I believed they would. And the rest of the team rallied behind the QB! Way to go Apo and man it up into the end zone!!!!

I was too conservative in my prediction that The Cougs would win by more than a touchdown...:)

I look forward to Playing Houston at the Bowl game!!!! Go Cougars!!

Hawaii beat Colorado 34 to 17, who beat the Utah utes 17 to 14. Using this data, one can conclude the utes wouldn't win the WAC championship let alone the pac-12.

Thanks for the strokes, Nobel. You will notice that the "BYU scheduler" DID schedule games from AQ conferences. We didn't do so well. The schedule DOES get better, hopefully we do as well.

With Houston getting dumped, we may have more than we bargained for in a C-USA opponent, but yes, probably unranked. Like us, they will hope that a good showing on New Years Eve will crack the top 25.

This year, they will have to show for their efforts a possible 10 win season, tremendous exposure nation-wide, some excellent recruits, and momentum heading into next year.

Although momentum didn't help much early this year.

By and large, it was not a great season, but it was good, and for the first year of independence, it was good. Better than our neighbors first year in an AQ conference, 44 point shellacking not withstanding.

Justin Sorenson Grade D. he's got the leg, but his head isn't there yet. Two misses, and a kick off out of bounds. Hope he figures it out before he costs BYU.

Why are all of the photos of Riley getting the trash knocked out of him? You couldn't catch a single photo of him passing? He was passing quite a bit today, if you didn't notice. Looked good doing it too.

This was BYU best executed game for this season, especially when playing on the road. BYU finishes the season 9-3 and will be probably unranked in the top 25 because of its perceived schedule and not being affiliated in a conference. The Armed Force Bowl opponent most likely from C-USA will not be a ranked team either. Hopefully BYU scheduler strengthens the schedule next year so that BYU plays teams from an automatic qualifier conferences, otherwise BYU should have stayed in the MWC. As BYU won't get ranked in the top 25 regardless if they win against their opponents who are all from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) conferences. The end result will be like this year and going to a low paying bowl and playing against a unranked team and all BYU can say is that it has an ESPN contract.
