Chris B. You get under BYU skin better than any poster I've ever seen, so you are tops in my book and so much wittier than Duckhunter. And you are often uncannily correct in your predictions. I also agree that no player prints out these posts and takes them out to the field, so for a fan to say, "we're going all the way this year," isn't exactly going to determine the outcome of a season. If you're wrong, big deal? You aimed for the stars and fell a little short. So what?

"Utah - Oregon Inaugural Pac 12 Title Game - Mark it Down!!"

Oh okay, "I'll Mark It Down."

Just like I marked it down when Ute fans all over the place were saying they would win the PAC-12 outright this year. Just like when they said they would go undefeated and win the National Championship and Jordan Wynn would get some votes for the Heisman Trophy.

The current standings in the PAC-12 South has both ASU and UCLA one game ahead of Utah. USC leads the PAC-12 South, but as I understand it, they can't play in the PAC-12 title game or in a bowl game since they're on probation.

If Utah wins both of their last two games, then UCLA would have to lose one of their last two, which would tie them with Utah, giving the Utes the tie break.

However, since ASU has the tie break against Utah, the Sun Devils would have to lose both of their last two games in order for Utah to win the PAC-12 South.

And even if all these scenarios happened, don't assume Oregon is going to look past Utah like Alabama did.

    Tulsa or SMU?

If Whittingham can pull off a big upset like we already did against Alabama, this time against Oregon, who will be Utah's Rose Bowl possible opponents?

ASU is choking at a very bad time.

    And I'm loving it.

Utah - Oregon Inaugural Pac 12 Title Game

    Mark it Down!!

Utah to the Rose Bowl? Bahahahahahaha thats a good laugh! you wont even see the pac 12 title game and even if some how Utah is lucky enough to get into the the title game, do you honestly think they can compete with Oregon? ASU is still very much in the drivers seat and Utah will have its hands full against Washington State. You are quite a delusional one Chris B but hey thanks for the good laugh!

Hopefully the bowl opponent will be ranked in the top 25, because BYU won't be even if its wins the next two games, thanks to scheduling a majority of teams from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and losing to two teams from (Utah and Texas) from a BCS conference and TCU (who accepted an invitation to a BCS conference. BYU went to independent so it could be invited into a BCS conference and be invited to a BCS bowl and it turns out the scheduling went to teams primarily from Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). BYU will experience that repetition in scheduling for the next few years. BYU should have known it would be tough to schedule teams from a BCS conference, so that excuse doesn't seem logical for a soft schedule. Sports revenue from football will decrease, cougar club memberships will drop, and game attendance will drop. Look at stadium ticket sales this year if one wants proof even though BYU is on ESPN and BYUtv.

Tulsa is one exciting foe. Don't get me started on SMU. Talk about a talented group. Didn't SMU beat TCU? In any case, it will be exciting to watch the cougars take on an action packed, hyped up mediocre (at best) opponent.

Hold on a moment. Can you hear me out for a second? It's hard to be humble when the teams we might be playing in our minor league bowl are Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech or Boise State. It's hard to be humble when Utah is actually playing for something. Makes for good story lines, drama, etc. 8-4 is not bad considering the injuries, turnovers, etc. 54-10.

    Three Comments Please:

Those who worry about the 8:15 PM Start and how cold it might be: "30's and a chance of snow." YOU are NOT true football fans! GO BEARS, PACKERS, PATRIOTS, AND BILLS! Where weather does not matter! Football does. Or Should I say go WILDCATS, BADGERS, WOLVERINES, etc....

Chris B: A Huntsman Clone: Another person with nothing to do all the time except to seem important and relevant!

Last but not least: GO LSU and OSU the only two teams who appear relevant at this point! Thanks BCS.

Chris B is either a DN employee who knows when every BYU article is going to be posted or he spends his entire day in his mom's basement constantly hitting the "refresh" button until a new BYU article pops up on the DN website.

Either way, he's so totally obsessed with all things BYU that he can't even abide the gentle chiding of one of his own.

I think I'd watch a Ute - Duck game. I've really been trying to become a better bigger man, and I really DO respect coach Whit and his team, but guys like Chris B make it too easy to almost hope the Utes DO get to play the mighty Ducks.

And after that beat down, they could maybe qualify for the Vegas Bowl. And play Boise or TCU again.

Of course, Washington State could maul them first. Where would they go then? New Mexico bowl? That would be poetic.

Maybe BYU's partner in sports, ESPN, could arrange some horse trading and Utah could end up in Dallas. Man I'd like the men in blue to get another shot at Utah.

Is there maybe a 10 step program for what I have?

What does it say about Ute fans where 4 out of the first 5 comments are made by Ute trolls, on a BYU roundup article, including a very entertaining exchange between two of them?

    That is some good comedy!

That could be a better game than anticipated. SMU is no slouch, they beat TCU. Their biggest problem is inconsistency. Tulsa is even better. BYU could have their hands full, especially if Riley can't make it back before the bowl game. It'll be interesting to see if Heaps' stay on the bench really has made him a better QB, or if it just appeared that way because their opponent was so terrible. I guess we'll see on saturday.

Or correct me if I'm wrong Naval Vet.

Perhaps you ARE on the team and I gave you the impression that I'm on the team also. If so - I'm not. Sorry for the confusion.

If you are - please YES, just focus on Washington State. Sorry to have distracted you by stating my belief that we(sorry, I mean you) will be playing Oregon for the title.

    Naval Vet,

What needs to be "cooled" is those fans who believe you impact what happens on the field.

    "Focus on Washington State"

Umm...hate to tell you Navy, but it doesnt' matter how much I focus or don't focus on Washington State, it won't impact a thing.

Likewise, it doesn't matter how much you focus on Washington State - nothing will change.

    I maintain:

    ASU is choking bad.
We're peaking at a good time.

Oregon - Utah, First ever pac 12 championship!

    Mark it Down!

    Chris B:

Just focus on Washington State. They're the only team that matters right now. We don't control our own destiny, so cool it with the "Rose Bowl" talk. You sound like those football-irrelevant, frantic and emotional Indy-WACers who'd been pounding their chests about Heismans and NCs prior to the start of the season. They're all looking pretty stupid right about now. If ASU wins one more game, you will be too. Mark THAT down.

    A Possible SMU game?

Yes! this will be interesting without a true field leader like Jim McMahon!

Either way, you Cougs are left with the Conference USA scraps.

    Gotta love that Independence thing.

Hang in there Band of Lil Brothers!
