Just because BYU is disappointing all expectations and just suffered a humiliating, deflating loss doesn't mean viewership among BYU fans will go down. Along with all my BYU friends here in Texas I have been sick to my stomach all week, but we are still planning on getting together and watching the game tonight. And fans of college football throughout the country only have one game to watch tonight. Unfortunately for the die-hard haters, BYU is still getting the exposure. Unfortunately for us die-hard fans...BYU is still getting exposed.

Here's hoping we finally see some things come together tonight.

    Go BYU!

The article forgot to mention the coaching match up. Bronco I never make game adjustments, we need to execute at a higher level Mendenhall vs the UCF coach. Advantage. UCF.

@CougarBlue: Really, isn't the mission of the Church to bring souls to Christ? BYU alumni have a favored cultural position in the Church. That is inappropriate, breeds resentment, and growing numbers of Church members look forward to BYU losing as a result. It makes it worse that BYU alumni are so blind they can't see it, but that is usually the case with people in favored cultural positions.

First, given BYU's performance to date, I don't see how anyone could make a prediction about this game. Heaps talks about a running game? I have seen a couple of high school girls powder-puff teams that could do better. BYU does not have a run game. They do not have a 4-yard runner. This is a must for recruiting this coming year. Unfortunately, I believe the season is pretty much over for the Cougars as far as fans watching the games. There should be some serious discussion regarding this coaching staff. Independence has not proven to have been a good decision. The remainder of the schedule is not what I would say is a top-10 must see ESPN game. Any ideas?

To the BYU fans who think those who dislike BYU must be the less active members, let me correct you all. I'm a very active member of the church and yes, I do dislike BYU sports. I'm a very active member who knows BYU football should be a division II team. I'm a very active member who became a member of the church knowing and understanding that the church is true even when I dislike BYU. I do not have to like BYU in order to become an active member of the church.

Where is the voice of reason from commentators like Fresno Girl, YGrad/YDad and Truecoug1 ?

I root for the Cougars. I HOPE FOR THE BEST. I was deeply disappointed by last Saturday's game, but what good does it do to be negative?

So though I will never again allow myself to buy into the media hype before the season starts, I will always hope for the best.

    Go Cougars!

This will be an interesting game. According to Bleacher Report BYU is playing Saturday night but according to the schedule UCF is planning on the game being tomorrow night - Friday. Maybe each team will do it via email and Madden Sports.

You gotta love the hate of some of these Ute Bloggers. Couldn't be active members of the church with so much hate. If they claim they are active then they do not understand what the gospel is all about.

Cougar Forever. Sounds like two evenly matched teams this Friday.

Look up delusional in Webster's dictionary. You'll find this article and it's predictions. I'm a BYU season ticket holder and sat through Saturday's humiliating loss. Why anyone still has a guaranteed starting job is beyond me. I sit in the south end zone, and that 3rd snap of the game from shotgun was 2 yards wide of Jake! Absolutely inexcusable for a team to put forth that kind of effort and execution. At least there's always next year......... Been saying that for years now.

Anyone reading UCF-centric blogs would know that there is major pessimism among Knights fans ahead of their game here.

Reasons? Their receivers still mess up on their routes, they drop balls (in practice and games apparently), their OL and backs seem baffled by blitzes and their quarterback took a lot of hits, both their OL and DL are undersized compared with BYU's personnel, they have a short week and have to make a long trip to a higher altitude (although the importance of this was debated in comments after another recent article I think it makes a difference -- a few of their bloggers do as well), several players are nursing injuries.

UCF is not nearly as good this year as they were last year and they will get rolled in Provo.

Chris b. did you watch the same game. Utah,s offense didn't get the running game going until yhe fourth quarter, after the BYU defense was on the field the whole game. Utah scored 37 points off of the 7 BYU turnovers. Hardly the defenses fault. Remember White only had 9 yards in the first half. He took advantage of a tired and deflated defense in the fourth quarter to his credit and rushed for 140 yards in the fourth quarter. I know your a homer, but I thought you had at least some knowledge of the game, but from your predictions, you're just a hater. Utah will lose to Washington, because they have two weeks to inflate their egos. they will also lose a another road game in conference, just like at USC. They finish 9-3 and third in the south and go to the Vegas Bowl. BYU loses one more time to TCU and finishes 9-3 also.

All I gotta say is your biggest win of the year was against Ole Miss. They got whooped by Vanderbilt. Lightly tap your chest it beats pounding it now doesn't it?

BYU doesn't need to sellout to the pass just keep th defense off balance by mixing it up so they have no clue what to defend. One thing I've always wondered, maybe some of you coug fans can help me out here, is, why does BYU always have massive offensive linemen, especially in the glory years of the '80's. Why can't they consistently run the football? I really don't mean that in a mean spirited way. I've just never understood it. Now is when the o-line need to cowboy up and play some smashmouth football and help establish the run. If they can and mix it up well, this could get ugly. I just question whether Doman has any idea how to change it up though. BYU's defense didn't give up. they were so worn down that I could have run against them in th 4th quarter and I'm 49 years old

Don't understand the prediction of 24 points, the highest total BYU would have scored all season, when the writer constantly boasts about UCFs defense. Losing to FIU on the road is pretty embarrassing. I think the key to this game is confidence. If BYU has lost it, this game is over before it begins. If they can play like those first two games, they can control UCF. We may not see this offense take off until USU. They are a team with NO defense. BYU will be the best defense they'll see all year.

No way will this team want to start 1-3 again. They'll turn things around.

Just a little worried still about BYU. Love it.

Recruiting worry level will be at all time high if BYU goes to Big 12, utes will be competing with Wyoming for scaps. Wyoming with the edge. Lol

On one hand, a big Cougs fan. I love my Cougs. On the other hand, I try to be a little more realistic in my expectations. Based on this article, how a prediction can be made of BYU 24, Central Florida 16 is beyond me. I need to actually see where our Cougs can sustain drives and score in the red zone, which they have yet to do after 3 games. As HUGE of a win their first game at Ol' Miss was, their other two games have been sorely lacking, from the UT 2nd half and beyond. My heart says go Cougs, go! My brain says revert the score of the prediction. I believe UCF's defense will be too strong for a sputtering Cougs offense. Come on, Cougs. Prove me wrong!!

I wonder what recruits think of back to back 1 and 4 starts and getting demolished by all good teams you play live on espn? I wonder what bcs leagues think? The future of Byu football is fighting with weber state for recruits. Ute nation loves it. Recruiting competitor? Gone.

Does Central Florida really have the size of the Cougar's last three opponents? I know you shouldn't overlook anyone, but this years UCF team doesn't seem like a big threat.

I would like to be hopeful, but frankly, nothing in this story looks promising for the Cougars. Unless they can figure out a better offensive scheme than the one they have been using, I'm afraid we are looking at a 1-3 start.

Word going around that Byu wants to just forfeit. One of worst offenses in nation against one of best defenses. Utah exposed the defense bad last week. Byu simply can't compete with athletes. And cfu is full of athletes. Remember last time Byu thought they could hang with a Florida team? Lol. Ucf 31 Byu 10. Fourth game with one offensive td. Another 1 and 4 start! Love it!
