You don't taper the ego of a kid like this. You want that in Wide Receivers, Cornerbacks, and a few other positions. All he said was that we're going to win games, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Otherwise, Welcome to the fold DelShawn! Don't listen to the haters, they'll only try to pull you back into the pot with the rest of the crabs. Keep workin' hard kid, and aim for the top.

"Lost to powers, Sac State, Hawaii, Houston and the best of pac lost to LSU by 13 points."

Anyone recall how the pinnacles of independence fared this last weekend?

Love your zeal kid, but you probably need to work on the ego just a little bit! You're gonna have to work harder than ever to succeed on this stage, so start now and don't stop! We're glad to have you join the Utes, can't wait to see you play!

Mighty pac10 results opening week vrs other strong conferences:
    Pac105 1 vrs Big Sky
    1 - 0 Great West
    1 - 0 Conference USA
    0 - 1 SEC
    2 - 1 WAC
PAC10 beat the powers like UC Davis, Montana State, SJS, Fresno, NAU,
Lost to powers, Sac State, Hawaii, Houston and the best of pac lost to LSU by 13 points.
Wait until they play someone, other than each other. Because they think each other is soooo good,
every loss is a quality no matter how bad the pac team is

"Utah wins," he said. "They go undefeated and they win their BCS bowl games. That's the kind of program I want to play for. Now that they have Norm Chow there? I couldn't want anything more."

    Enough said...young man is smart.

I'm not sure what in his comments was so outrageous? He is just stating that Utah can play with and will beat every team in the PAC12. During his 4 year tenure at the school, there is a pretty good chance that Utah will beat every team in the PAC12. I don't see where Delshawn is saying that Utah will win a NC or be the PAC12 champion every year, do you? So, what do you find so outrageous in his comment? Keep making mountains out of molehills.

He is a good recruit that is excited about joining a great team, Utah. If you read anything different, then you should probably take off your blue tinted glasses.

Boy are the folk in blue dissing Delshawn already!

Things must be slow and dull in Provo, as usual,

After Saturday's pathetic offensive showing, they best not be talking smack about Heaps...who needed his defense to beat a bottom of the barrel SEC team playing without its quarterback.

The day BYU recruits a kid named "Delshawn" I'll become a byu fan.

Gahr grad from 1974 to bad BYU didn't recruit him, we already have one Gahr player.

Doesn't matter the speed! How bright is the lights upstairs is what I want to know. I'll take the player that out smarts his opponent, than anyone with a one track mind. Plus BYU did not recruit Him, so who cares!

It looks like Norm did a top notch job at UCLA. Hopefully he can have equal success at the University of Utah.

Poor Duckie and his little buddy Sammy. The're so jealous of where the Utah program is going that it's just killing them. The're so obsessed with the Utes that they almost never miss posting on a ute article!

Unfortunately I heard that big talk from O' Neal Chambers a number of years ago. He promised touch downs on kick offs and punts and big gains. I am still waiting. I hope this young man can do what he says he can do. One thing these young players need to understand that the cream of the crop is going to college and the PAC-12 teams have defensive players as quick as he is, so his speed will be somewhat negated. It will be his moves and attitude that determine how effective he will be at Utah.

Delshawn said we would compete with and beat the best in the PAC-12. How is that the same as proclaiming an upcoming National Championship / Heisman?

(You'll have to forgive him if by the time he's playing it's a PAC-16.)

Green side up Ducky when you lay that sod.

"Gahr has a program without a lot of money coming in. It's located in a rough part of town without even the most basic football facilities such as a locker room."

Pretty sad that we live in the richest country in the world yet we have kids in schools that are underfunded like Gahr.

Welcome Delshawn to the Ute Nation.

And thank you Norm Chow for widening the California recruiting market to Utah football.

The obvious difference is that this kid didn't hire a PR guy, call a press conference at a restaurant and talk about having an "epiphany" and winning a NC. And, this kid may actually be a player and do something besides put up numbers against cupcakes.

Duckhunter, here's a Ute fan to prove you right:

Delshawn Mcclellon needs to learn how things are done at the U, that is, talk is cheap and play is everything. However, as Wittingham hasn't even had a chance to coach him yet nor has he had an opportunity to learn the culture at the U, I'm hoping that this is a rookie mistake that he'll soon learn from.

Also, it's great to see the effect on recruiting Norm Chow has already had. Speed Kills.

    Chris B,

    "I wonder y Byu didn't get him."

Probably because BYU never recruited him...?

Hey, how did recruiting Troy Hinds workout for you?

"Utah has speed, Utah has athletes, BYU doesn't, bleah bleah bleah"

Why bother to think of anything original? Just save that in a word document and copy and paste it in every future post. Even after BYU beats you.

    btw, How fast are you?

"I can beat a defense at anytime on offense and on special teams," he said. "I bring a lot of excitement to the field, but I'm also a team player. I can't wait to get to Utah because we're going to get it done. We're going to play with the best in the Pac-12 and beat the best. I believe that."

I can't wait for all the ute "fans" to rip on Jake Hea...errr delshawn mcclellon for those comments.

Who am I kidding, those comments will elicit nothing but praise from ute "fans" in this instance, it is a utah commit afterall.
