"Yes if byu goes 4-0 to start the season I will never post again on a BYU article.

And yes, you can mark that down."

Sure, just like you weren't going to post on any more BYU articles for the remainder of the basketball season if BYU beat SDSU in San Diego.

Your word is definitely NOT your bond.

Here's an oldy but goody that we've already "marked down"

    hedgehog | 12:03 p.m. Sept. 28, 2010

"The Utes have at least 50% chance of going undefeated and reaching a BCS bowl game this year."

humiliating loss to TCU in the "biggest game in Utah history" - 7-47
beatdown at mediocre Notre Dame - 3-28
destroyed by "girlsie" state - 3-26
barely beat AFA, SDSU, and BYU

Utah fans will be calling for Wynn's head before the end of their third game.

Preseason polls are what they are, but I had to chuckle seeing over half of the Conference of Champions listed beneath the cougs.

"Once again you'ven decided to only take what you want from the bloggers statement."

Yep, just like you on every BYU article.

    Chris B

Did you ever take statistics? The chances of BYU going 4-0 are factors of 10 higher than winning a NC this year. The NC is subjective, decided by people with bias, and with malice. Not once has a NCAA Div 1football national champion won it through a playoff. That makes it impossible to calculate the odds.

BYU only has to play better than the other teams to go 4-0. I will take those odds any day.

And this brings us back to the whole "Mark it down" garbage.

Since you are not on the field, playing a position, coaching, or officiating, you have no baring on the game. It is not up to you. It us up to BYU players.

    I'll take those odds too.

I would much rather leave it up to them on the field than some BYU hater on what their record is going to be in the first 4 games.

No matter what they are the first 4 games, they will play, someone will win.

    Mark that down.

In recent years (since 2005) BYU hasn't done so hot in the 1st road game, especially when the 1st road game has been the 1st game of the season( the exception being 2009 beating OU at a neutral site, and winning @ Tulane the second game).

This game against Ole Miss is a winnable game. Like Starfarer said, a solid wire to wire win would be nice. It would do wonders for the teams confidence, and it would also mean that they are already on par with execution, both of those being critical for games @ Tex, @ Haw, @ OSU, and "@" TCU.

    Chris B,

Mark it down? What exactly does that mean? Is that like saying "mark it down, because my prediction is sure to go wrong"? It's impossible to take anything you write seriously since this isn't the first time you've said, "If I'm wrong I will never post again on a BYU article" and you've been wrong many times with your "mark it down" predictions, yet here you still are. It's okay, though. I don't mind that you've stuck around. I'd miss you if you were gone. I thoroughly enjoy reading your incessant diatribe. Brings a smile to my face.

    Thanks for the laughs!

Not much of a writeup in Miss, but certainly nice words for BYU.

Reynolds is the best O-lineman in the West this year. He will likely be the first player from Utah drafted this year unless Wagner, the USU linebacker has an incredible year.

    chrisb and hedge.
Did you happen to notice who was listed 3 spots after BYU on the poll? Too busy obsessing over BYU to notice? Take a look.
I'm sure you'll both declare the poll bogus after you see. I don't think much of pre-season polls but I did get a chuckle thinking of a couple of squeaky, pre-pubescent jr. high voices raising their protest.

Yes if byu goes 4-0 to start the season I will never post again on a BYU article.

And yes, you can mark that down.

The chances of byu going 4-0 this year are the same as byu going to the NC game, or a BCS game, ever.

In other words: 0 percent chance

Reynolds is a monster playing for a princess team

utah is so great. they'll go undefeated and win the national championship. billions of dollars will flow their way. they become the harvard of the west. they will become national champions in all sports not just women's gymnastics. they will be able to keep university presidents for more than five years....
You must have dozed off. keep dreaming.

Matt Reynolds plays his best and it wouldn't matter what the season is because he is a stand up guy. He is also a leader, a man and, has honor.

You want to go toe to toe with him over his honor?

Obviously you don't believe "to each his own" or you wouldn't be trying to disparage the man.

I've been marking your predictions down for months, they mean next to absolutely nothing.

You always want BYU to fail, so there is no surprise that you want them to go 1-4, but the question is what if they go anything else? 2-2, 4-0, what do we get then? can we call for your head? Can we fire you?

Mark it down? What do you get out of it? Is grandma going to give you a cookie if you're right?

"It is also interesting that the writer states that this is the most interesting game of the season. Not Alabama or LSU."

"Certain trolls would have us believe that no one outside of Utah is interested"

Once again you'ven decided to only take what you want from the bloggers statement. If you force yourself to re-read the statement you'd see that "most interesting" referes to finding out what the O'd Miss team has/or doesn't have to start the season. The words "most interesting" would not have been used if the game was later in the year.

  • Starfarer Mesa, AZ

I love the Old Miss article. "Push 51%" If there is honor code violations "en mass."

Good luck with that. I don't make predictions, but I hope Jake's arm AND our secondary put this one out of reach early.

It would be nice to get a wire to wire win to start the season.

It is also interesting that the writer states that this is the most interesting game of the season. Not Alabama or LSU.

Certain trolls would have us believe that no one outside of Utah is interested. Of course they are always right...
