Sorry! I meant 100,000 plus unemployed - in OUR state!

A good article - as far as it goes. But, not one word about ID theft though, and in light of the fact that EVERY ONE of these illegal aliens have stolen someone's SSN to be able to work. Either that, or some greedy employer is not paying the taxes they should be paying.

Then of course, there is the 100,000 unemployed citizens in this country. Don't they deserve a chance for jobs?

Although this was a worthwhile, if miniscule, start, it is typical Obama political theater.

While making great press releases about how tough they are on [really bad, dangerous, repeat violator] illegals, they quietly released new guidelines for ICE, which basically implements the "DREAM" Act which is pretty much amnesty or at least a "keep put of jail free" card for millions of illegals if they remotely fit into many broad categories.

Might as well just stop wasting money on ICE since the won;t be able to kick many people out, and won't be allowed to stop even the most blatant illegal entry into our country. Might as well just surrender to Mexico while we are giving up our national sovereignty.

"A total of 22 percent were fugitives with outstanding deportation orders who had failed to leave the country." You mean to say that they didn't leave on their honor as good and honorable people. They should have been in jail before being deported, and then flown back to the capitol of their country of origin. I doubt that the SLC Chief of police would consider these offenses to be any worse than parking tickets scofflaws that people don't pay.

Its a good start. Now lets really get going with an intensive 'Catch & Deport' program.

....."tracking down fugitives who game our nations immigration system"? Aren't they ALL "gaming our nations immigration system"?

We appreciate the efforts of ICE, but they're ARRIVING faster than 25 at a time. At that rate it will take a long time to catch up.

I think I would prefer we lock up murders and sex offenders than deport them. I bet they just come right back since our borders are not secure. Maybe, we could charge their countries for the cost of prison instead.

Question is how many of those 25 illegal aliens at Home Depot have stolen or forged social security numbers?

Just 25? They must not have tried very hard. I'll bet there are more illegal aliens than that waiting at Home Depot right now to take a job an unemployed American doesn't want.

[snark on] Gee, I hope they didn't separate any families. I'd rather let a dope dealer skate than take him away from his children.
