If Beck can manage the offense he can do well. Smith and Hall the same. All three try to force too many passes. Beck and Smith have good shots at finishing the season as starters this year. Hall played well enough that he should still be on the roster this year. Maybe as the back-up.

Becks problem in Miami was a "Regime Change".

Your windows of opportunity are very short in the NFL, you shine or you're gone.

Last crack Beck, take advantage of it.

Max had a shot, it may have been his last. If he pulls back a few of those risky heaves, he may still be contending.

Take your sacks rather than throw it up for grabs, interceptions will kill any career.

Beck needs to know WHEN to throw the ball away instead of trying to force it in. That one tendency more than any other, caused him to bust in Miami. Hall has the same problem.

I think it has something to do with Anae's offense. If Beck can play safe like Flacco and not turn the ball over he probably can start.

    Hey Hedgie,

    How is Alex Smith doing?

I think you said that in a former post as well.

Beck has a great arm and should be able to make it now that he is finally getting a chance to start. I wish him good luck!

If he was good enough to beat Utah, a mighty PAC12 member and supreme alum of the MWC, I thing he is good enough to start in the NFL as well. Look at Steve Young, he started out horribly and ended up a Super Bowl Champion.

Mohammed Ali didn't get to be the greatest by thinking that maybe he wasn't. You can do it Beck! If Smith can start in the NFL, certainly you can.

Beck is doing the right things. Hope it works out for him. My guess is that he isn't too concerned about the ankle biters out there.

Beck has done everything in his power to get the starting nod. He has gained a reputation for his excellent work ethic and he's taking initiative during the off-season to "lead" the team. He deserves and should get a chance to show what he can do as an NFL starter... and I think it is safe to say he will make a much greater impact in the league next year than the quarterback that was drafted #1 in the draft two years before him. Good luck John and go Cougs!

I think he said that at Miami as well
