The Utah Eagle Forum folks merely pushing for elimination of Title X funding for PP are pikers compared to the people of South Dakota, where the proposed HB1171 would treat the murder of abortion providers as justifiable homicide. Certain restrictions apply, of course, but a fair reading of the bill suggests that a doctor performing an abortion on a woman could legally be killed by her husband, even if the wife wanted the abortion.

So because your myopic mind can only conceive of doing something for the sake of the financial bottom line then that proves motivation? Just because your mind can only conceive of doing something solely for the money does not mean it is the way we all behave. Some of us may actually act on occasion for reasons other then the all mighty dollar or a fear of some myopic fear of some made up gods wrath, I know its hard for you to imagine but its true.

To all those supporting planned parenthood. Why in 1990 blacks made up 14 percent of the child bearing population but had 31 percent of the abortions? Margaret Sanger founder of Planned Parenthood, was a eugentist and advocated the elimination of the black race through birth control and abortion. Eugentics is alive and well in the United States.

Sanger in A Plan for Peace, advocated the need to raise the level and increase the general intelligence of population, by applying a "stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation [ in addition to tightening immigration laws] to that grade of population whose progeny is already tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring." Advocates of Planned Parenthood are simply racist.

"Bottom line: If you can't afford a baby or the birth control, then keep your legs closed."

So you're saying that a married woman should deny sexual contact to her husband if they can't afford the birth control? That's a great way to promote divorce.

In case you didn't get the word -- a lot of the women frequent Planned Parenthood are poor married women who are trying to avoid having children and, thereby, making more people who will end up on welfare. They're trying to avoid getting pregnant BY GETTING CONTRACEPTIVES. So what's your preference -- medical assistance, including contraception, or divorce?

PP CLAIMS to want to reduce the number of abortions, making abortions less necessary. That is contrary to the fact that they make more money on abortions than for any other procedure they offer. They are primarily for and about abortions.

As conservative as I am (I'm an Uber Conservative) if find these types of prayer things to be exactly what Christ condemned in the Bible buy comparing the Pharisees to the Publican. If you want funding for Planned Parenthood to go away, then work toward electing folks that agree with your point of view.

End the funding! We have to get our budget back to only those things the govt needs to provide that citizens can't provide for themselves. Since when is it the taxpayer's job to help people with their personal family planning? This is why we have an exploding deficit-everyone thinks we should all take care of each other's personal needs.

Religions should not get taxpayer funded benefits either. Allowing "charitable" deductions on tax returns funds religion.

Planned parenthood provides a necessary service. These videos were doctored by Right-wing Extremists. I don't believe that they should be taken at any value.

As An Atheist, if I am forced to pay for your Faith-Based initiatives... Then you should be forced to pay for Abortions. You cant have it both ways.

This is America and that freedom means the Government is going to be involved in things you don't like... Like faith- based initiatives or Abortions.

You can always move to the Iran, They don't have Abortions there... or Womens healthcare, for that matter.

Curiously if 1 out of 3 women aged 45 have had an abortion, and some believe the numbers of women who have been raped is even a higher ratio than that, could it be possible that these women were following Republican values for women?

In California they are putting planned parenthood in our schools in the name of health clinics that do pregnancy testing.

I have no problem with someone filling in for some of the good things Planned Parenthood does. But I want the Federal government completely out of it. Planned Parenthood or its equivalent organizations should be non-profit with governmental support only at the local level where it can be held accountable.

The feds have shown an enormous inability to manage and monitor nation-wide organizations while sitting on their fat wallets (filled with our tax dollars) in a few square miles on the east coast.

Years and years back when I lived in a really poor area, Planned Parenthood was one of the only providers for prenatal care, giving women their checkups so they could have a healthy baby.
If you're going to strip the funding you need to make sure someone picks up the slack for STD testing, prenatal care in the regions they offer it and the like.

I hate to say this, but to many people, abortions are no big deal. I do not believe in abortions, but I believe that as long as they are legal, people should be able to choose for themselves if that is something they want to do or not. Just because the place offers abortions does not make it evil.
Do you use birth control of any type, because if you do, that is also something that planned parenthood provides.
Did you take time to think of when the right time was to have a baby? If you did, that is another service that planned parenthood provides.

freedomforthepeople, use your brain, if they told the pimp that, the pimp would run and the girls would never get help. Could you possibly see that Planned Parenthood was also collecting information to better provide the FBI with more information?

I see ONE video from New Jersey, with ONE person saying these things. They say they have 10, but don't say anything about it. And lets say it is 3. Okay, then you have 3 incidents over how many thousands of people who get treated?
And be honest with me, Have you ever been to planned parenthood?

You obviously didn't pay attentions to the videos enough. They were filmed in three separate states, all with the same result. What's your excuse now?

Planned Parenthood offered me healthcare when I was a student and couldn't afford it. I didn't go there to get an abortion or even the morning after pill. I went there as a married woman who needed basic birth control so my husband and I could wait to have our family until we had both finished our education.

Planned Parenthood is a godsend to all women who don't have health insurance or enough money to see a traditional doctor. I know it is sometimes difficult for men, or even women who have always had money to understand this, but every girl should have the opportunity to get proper medical care.

This was a horrible, but isolated incident, and Planned Parenthood is doing all they can to make sure it doesn't happen again.

There are people if EVERY single profession, EVERY single line of work who operate differently than what the practice guidelines and policies are. This is ONE isolated incident, and it should be treated as such, not as the normal way that planned parenthood operates.

For those who believe that all of planned parenthood is criminal, how many of you have actually gone to one and seen what they are about?

"The videos are more than just incriminating - they are damning "

They are also doctored. This is clearly seen when you look at the full videos and the edited ones where, at the time stamp, the two videos have completely different audio. Planned parenthood reported this to the FBI WEEKS before the tapes were even released.

After the situation involving Acorn several years ago, I can't help but wonder if these videos are more entrapment than anything else.

I personally know of situations where Planned Parenthood has contacted law enforcement regarding underage girls involved with adult men, and while I personally don't agree with much of Planned Parenthood's objectives, I'm being careful not to take these videos at face value.

DanO - what a lame excuse. They reported to the FBi after the pimp and prostitute left? It makes it even worse. If Planned Parenthood is out to protect and aid our women, the answer to the pimp would be "we don't help people who are breaking the law and jeopardizing the lives of vulnerable women. Please leave our premises immediately." And THEN they should call the FBI AND the local police.

The videos are more than just incriminating - they are damning - and we must pull the funding from Planned Parenthood immediately. There are other organizations that can help women (and they do now) - they will grow and fill the need.

It is clear Planned Parenthood is a criminal organization, just as stated above.

Alan, what you don't see in the videos was that after the fake pimp and prostitute left, Planned Parenthood reported the encounters to the FBI. If an underage girl actually did come into the clinic, she would have been separated from any non-guardian and interviewed and counseled. If Planned Parenthood could determine that she had been exploited, they would report it and get the girl the help she needed.
