I realize that professional photographers have cameras that can snap images incredibly fast, but the accompanying photo is still amazing!

This is one of the reasons I dislike "Judged" sports. There is way too much subjectivity in scoring. Maybe they should make the judges go out and repeat the exact performance they just saw so they can see how difficult it is. The judges can give whatever score they want, and justify it by little this's and thats, and don't have to prove any constistancy.

I have always wondered why Bijak's scores seemed to be low. I've always thought it was where she is placed in the lineups, but this kind of explains things for me. The thing I don't understand is, if Greg knows she isn't going to get the great scores, why won't he change things up! The judges at nationals will be the same judges they have seen at any of the SEC meets. Daria does deserve better scores, you won't see anyone else reach the hights she does on beam or floor. Its too bad she is not rewarded for that. Let's hope she will get the great scores she deserves one day, preferably at nationals so they can win!!!

I find it interesting that the judges can communicate to the team about a deduction for a "late" giant, but the team can't inform the judges that's it's a Higgins, and not late at all.

Daria Bijak is one of my favorite gymnasts of ALL TIME! Her routines are so incredible, and as a spectator, I too am very frustrated at the scores she receives. Her international style and experience is evident in everything she does, and I agree, the judges just don't seem to get it.
