With the recent economic crisis that the whole county is experiencing, it is really sad that Geneva Rock is being forced to shut down mining pits that create a lot of jobs in Utah. Everything possible should be done to make sure that these pits are opened back up and jobs are restored so that people trying to support families here in Utah are not layed off because of government regulations. Enough people are being layed off because of lack of work, but to lay off people because the government won't allow them to run is crazy!

Would help if the Author got the details correct. Ms. Dana Dean is the Associate Director over mining.
